You stood at the helm of the ship as you breached the surface. The ship reached the shore. You took a deep breath. Felt the fresh air as you gazed at the field. The salty wind blowing through your hair. All of the corrosion from years in the sea cascading off your body. You had a family to go see. You walked ashore.

"Henry." You smiled. The boy ran up to you embracing you.

"Aunt y/n." He hugged you so tight.

"You did it." You put a hand on his face. You had warned him in the first place not to go after it. Frankly you loved harboring souls. You'd be lying if you said you wouldn't miss it. Of course you should've known he would, and you never should have doubted him. Maybe you were more like your father than you'd care to admit.

"Who's this lovely lass?" You asked him.

"Carina Smyth. Pleased to meet you." She held out her hand. You gently took it, holding her hand in yours.

"Barbossa's daughter." Henry looked at you with a somber expression.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"He went out brave." He responded.

"Your father helped me save the love of my life." You out a hand on Carina's shoulder.

"I wish I would've known him better." She gave you a bittersweet smile.

"How's your father Henry? You taking care of my brother." You smirked. You looked over the hills and saw Will and Elizabeth walking towards you, hand in hand. You ran up to Will and hugged him tight. Then you smacked him upside the head.

"I can't believe you let me nephew go after the trident." You teased.

"Let isn't the right word." Will shot Henry a look. "It's great to see you again baby sister." He put a hand on your shoulder.

"How are you treating my brother." You teased Elizabeth. She rolled her eyes. "It's nice to see you again Lizzy." You smiled at her. She smiled back.

"Likewise of course. It's nice to finally see my sister in law." She hugged you. You weren't much for hugs if you were being honest. However, considering the occasion, you'll let a few slide. You finally got to be with your family again.

"Henry you must tell me the story of how you were daft enough to go after the trident to save me." You threw an arm around his shoulder.

"We had some help." He pointed to the horizon. You turned around and saw a certain ship with black sails. You watched as a pirate walked up the hills. You ran. Ran so fast you could feel your newly returned heart beating out of your chest. You tackled him to the ground and kissed him hard.

"Y/n." He savored your name. Lingered on it as if he was going to lose it again.

"Jack." You responded. Here you were, after years of being tied to the sea, rolling in a field with your greatest love. Captain Jack Sparrow. The two of you finally stood up. You slapped him.

"You were stupid enough to go against Salazar?" You questioned sternly. He rubbed his jaw.

"Some things deserve to be free." He answered. "By that I mean me. I had a terrible stroke of luck you see," he teased you. You nudged his shoulder and kissed him again. You were finally back with the absolute love of your life. It was funny, you tried to fight it for so long, but after spending so much time apart you wondered why you ever fought it. Of course you all were a great deal older now. Maybe all of those reasons made you appreciate the time more.

"Where to now, Captain?" You asked him.

"By my understanding you are in desperate need for adventure." Jack smiled.

"As long as you remember I'm still pirate king and captain of the fiercest ship in the Caribbean." You answered.

"I've a feeling you won't let me forget." He smiled.

"Never." And just like that, it was like you were still that little servant girl who found a pirate in the black smiths shop, ready to sail the seas, but this time not fighting back what you know was always true.
