"You know, they have fireworks downtown," I said, filling the silence, "we can go if you guys want to."

"I'm down," Sapnap said, "forcing Karl with me."

"Hey!" Karl said.

"America and their fireworks," Tommy said, "but I guess I'll go."

"Can I bring Bee?" Tubbo asked.

"Of course, I can even bring Patches," I said, Patches meowed at my feet, "you want that baby?" Patches meowed again, pawing at my leg. I crouched down, picking her up.

"George, Dream just cheated on you with a cat," Sapnap said.

"I knew he liked pussy better," Tommy said, "man can't choose these days."

"Do you ever shut up about that?" George asked, "but I'll go too."

"Let's go then," I said, carrying Patches out.

"Wait, you're actually bringing Patches?" Sapnap asked.

"Yeah, why not?" I asked.

"Just seems like she'd run off from the sound," Sapnap said.

"Nah, she's used to it," I said, "although, that reminds me, Tubbo, you might want headphones. You might want to bring a blanket, so you aren't sitting on the cold ground."

I took Patches to the car while the others got their things. George joined me, wearing his colorblind glasses. As I settled in my car, the others walked out the house. Karl was wrapped in a blanket, the others were just holding a blanket. Except Tubbo, who was holding his bee and some headphones. I waited for them to get in Karl's car before starting my car.

After we made it to the field, I led the group to an empty space. We all ended up being separated, into pairs, since there were so many people. I was with George, of course, and he was laying beside me. We were on a hill, so we could lay down and still watch the fireworks. Despite the crowd, I wrapped my arm around his shoulder like it was normal. I mean it was normal.

"Oh look Sapnap's dragging his pet," I said, pointing to Sapnap and Karl. Sapnap was walking quickly, holding Karl's arm, and barely stopping for apologies.

"Woah Sapnap finally kept a pet alive," George retorted.

"I think he likes Karl," I said, "any truers?"

"Trueeeee," George said, "look at the runaway lovers." He pointed to them again. They were running towards a table with water.

"He really just ran for some water," I said, snickering, "what a loser." George giggle, the cute giggle that I've always loved.

"They are dumbasses," George said, "they-" His sentence got cut off by the shot of fireworks. He jumped, then slightly moved to my arms when it went off. It was an orange, fading to red.

"Should've warned it was going to be loud," I said, patting his side.

"I mean I know they're loud, it just caught me off guard," George said, staying in my arms.

"Says the one staying in my arms," I said, "don't worry, I used to hide in the car and watch them. Then I had a Tubbo phase, where I'd wear headphones." I pointed to Tubbo who was hiding in Tommy's arms. Tommy put on the headphones on Tubbo's head, letting Tubbo move away. I moved George to my lap, letting him lean back.

Another firework went off, a louder one, startling George. He looked towards the sky, as I covered his ears. It went off with a loud bang, a burst of red, white, and blue. It was a big firework, the ones that would rattle your chest if you're close enough.

"I'm not a child," George said, "but thanks." I kissed his head, taking off my hands. I moved my hands to his, holding them. More fireworks shot off, lighting the dark sky. Different colors burst from the fireworks. The people setting them off were shooting off slightly larger fireworks. I lean back, watching the fireworks. Yellow fading into orange, red circles, glitter-looking, blue fountains, and other different shapes, colors, etc. of fireworks. Some were small, some were large, some made the ground shake a bit, and some even shot off multiple fireworks.

After a bit, I saw Tommy carry Tubbo back to the car. Tubbo looked asleep, but I couldn't tell from the night sky. Sapnap and Karl followed a bit later, surprisingly both of them were awake.

"Someone can't stay awake," I said. George didn't giggle. I glanced down and he was drooling in my lap. I patted his face. George stirred, so I looked back to the fireworks.

"Dreamy... 'm tired," George mumbled in my ear. I smiled, rubbing his back.

"You want to go back to the house then?" I asked, he nodded slowly, "mk, let's go then." I picked him up, half startling him. He clung onto my shoulders, but loosened his grip. I held him, letting him drift in my arms.

"So tired..." George slurred. I smiled, carrying him back to my car. I got in, letting George sit in my lap. I felt George drool on my neck, probably fallen asleep again. I rolled my eyes and drove back to my house. I quickly glanced at the time, 11 pm. It wasn't that late and George was used to Florida time, but here George was- sleeping in my arms.
