The line of horses trudged down the dusty trail, their weary riders sore from three hours of continuous riding. You shifted uncomfortably in your saddle, wishing desperately for a break to stretch your cramped legs. You craned your neck to look at Captain Levi at the front of the line. Even from your position behind him, you could see his cold features had exhibited no visible fatigue. Well...he is Humanity's Strongest, you thought wryly to yourself. You resumed your original position in your saddle and stared at the blue expanse above you through the passing leaves, your eyelids drooping from exhaustion. I hope we arrive soon, I can't take this much longer. You looked to the side you and saw Reiner slumped in his saddle, eyes closed. I should probably wake him up. You grabbed his muscular shoulder and shook him gently.

"Reiner." you whispered. No response. "Reiner!" you said again, this time a bit louder. His suddenly snapped open and he almost fell of his horse in shock.

"What! What it is!" he yelled, noticing your hand on his shoulder soon after. "Umm...what are you doing?" you rolled your eyes.

"I'm waking you up, stupid. You fell asleep on your horse, you could have fallen off." You removed your hand from his shoulder. Reiner smiled at your concern. Silence ensued the two of you.

"Thanks." he said after a while, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Don't mention it." you respond with a faint smile. Although it slowly faded when you remembered how tired you were. You yawned and rubbed your eyes. Reiner laughed.

"You can't fall asleep on me now, (F/N)!" he jabbed a finger on your arm.

"Quit pokin me." you whined, slapping his hand away. "Tired..." You felt yourself slipping in and out of consciousness, forcing your eyes to stay open and on the trail. The next moment, you felt burly arms wrap around your waist and lift you from your saddle.

"Now what are you doing." you grumbled as Reiner hauled you to the back of his saddle.

"If you're gonna pass out you might as well sleep on my horse." he said. Reiner grabbed the bridle of your horse and tied to his saddle so it wouldn't wander into the forest.

"Thanks, Reiner." you mumbled as your wrapped your arms around his torso. You laid your head on his broad, muscular back and gave into sleep, you were too tired to even think for a second about what you were doing. Reiner, of course, started smiling like an idiot the moment your arms engulfed him. He glanced back towards Connie and Jean, who were riding behind him. Jean glared at Reiner with murderous intent while Connie just stared wide-eyed, jaw agape. Reiner flashed a knowing smile back at the two jealous boys and continued riding, a grin plastered on his face.

The regiment continued their trek through the forest into the late afternoon. Just as the sun began to sink into the horizon, Levi spotted their destination. Two cabins, two bathhouses, makeshift stables, and one larger building with a patio were nestled in a small clearing surrounded by large, spiraling oaks. A bonfire pit was the center piece of the layout and a sparkling blue lake was seen in the distance.

"See! I told you it would be nice!" a cheerful voice called. Hanji rode up beside him, smiling in the creepy way she always does. Levi stared at her blankly, then glanced ruefully at the small wooden cabins in the clearing.

"Tch...have the brats make sure those cabins are spotless. I will not be living with dust and insects during this vacation." he stressed the last word and stared accusingly at Hanji. Hanji made a pouty face at the stern corporal.

"C'mon Levi! It's their first day of leave and they just had a good four hours of riding!" Levi returned the complaint with a death glare that could even make a Titan nervous. Hanji sighed and halted the line behind her. She turned to face the rest of the squad.
