"Uhhhhh..." you complained, sprawled across the floor of the cabin, hands and figures aching all over. The others who had gotten there earlier got to leave; Mikasa and Krista had to help Hanji unpack her lab supplies. It had been two hours of constant scrubbing on your hands and knees making the woodland cabin absolutely spotless for 'His Highness' (as you sometimes called him), Captain Levi.

"Saasshhaaaa!" you groaned to your potato-loving friend, who was polishing the cabinets next to you. "Are you done yet..."

"Now I am." She finally replied. Sasha glared at you sternly. "I would have probably got it done faster if you got off your ass and helped some more!" You made a 'pssh' sound and rolled around on the sparkling wood floor.

"I've only been down here for five minutes, Potato-Girl." You were promptly hit in the face with a dirty dust rag, which made you start laughing uncontrollably as Sasha began ranting about her unfortunate nick-name.

Suddenly the door slammed open and Captain Levi appeared in the doorway. He raised an eyebrow at your form sprawled on the floor, (h/c) locks going everywhere, holding your sides in laughter. You promptly stopped laughing jumped off the floor, almost losing your balance as you stood up and saluted. Sasha did the same.

"Corporal! We, ah, were just finishing cleaning, sir!" you said proudly. Sasha gave a pitiful sigh for your cheerfulness. Levi gazed at the two of you indifferently as usual.

"I can see that." He scowled at you. "And did I give you permission to laugh, Cadet (f/n)?" You thought for a second looking towards the ceiling, walls, and basically anywhere Levi wasn't.

"No, sir. I don't think you did." You replied hesitantly. Levi sighed and smoothed his hair back and began inspecting the room, looking around corners and checking under beds. He gave a gradual nod of approval. He turned to you and Sasha.

"You two are free to go. Hanji is starting a bonfire out back and the food is already prepared." You're your faces lit up (mainly about the food, you had hardly eaten all day).

"Thank you, Corporal!" you both replied in unison. Sasha picked up the cleaning supplies and you grabbed the mop from the corner to put back in the storage shed. Levi watched you leave and turned to face the inside of the cabin. The place wasn't exactly perfect but it would have to do.

Suddenly, to popped back into the door and kept up behind the corporal tapping him on his shoulder. Levi jumped a little and turned around to face you with an irritated expression.

"What!" he snapped. You stared at him trying to keep a straight face. Did you just scare him?

"I was wondering if I had permission to laugh now, sir." Levi scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Of course, you idiot. It is vacation after all." At his words, you finally gave into the smile you were holding back so long and giggled. Levi was surprised at your beaming face, secretly holding back a small smile. He was also surprised to find that a twinge of heat resting on his face.

"Thank you, Captain Levi!" You exclaim while making a quick salute and scrambling for the door. Of course, you stumbled on the door stop on your way out due to your clumsiness. You ignore it and run outside with an enormous smile.

"Hey, Potato-Girl! Wait up!"

"I told you never to call me that!"

Levi stared at you as you ran away. He made a 'tch' sound and ran his fingers through his black hair, contemplating why he felt so strange. Maybe he just needed a drink...okay maybe a few. But he couldn't get your pretty smile out of his head. His piercing eyes widened in shock. Did he just think you were pretty? He slapped his hand to his forehead, a little harder than intended. He muttered some curses at the stinging on his head. Of course he didn't think you were pretty...
