Neville's POV:
I always knew I fancied Lily ever since our first day here well actually when we bumped into each other on the train but now I know for sure, as I look at her while she's reading her book I know I really do fancy her, but what is it about her, her beautiful green eyes, her perfect smile, her lovely Red hair or is it her just her.

as I wake up I see lily reading her book right beside my bed "what are you reading Lily?" I smile
"your up!" she laughs and grabs my hand "while I'm reading Romeo and Juliet, its my favourite book!" her smile shines like the stars in the dark of night, as I'm looking into her beautiful eyes I remember I forgot to send my mother and father a letter!
"hey uh lily can you um write a letter to someone for me?" I ask
"yeah of course! who too?" she smiles as she grabs parchment and a quill
"my parents!" as I say that her smile turns to a frown and then quickly back to a fake looking smile
"okay what do you want it to say?"
"Dear Mum and dad Remember me? if not thats okay don't rush it! I'm your son Neville longbottom and I wanted you to know today is my first day at Hogwarts I've already made a new friend Lily Black maybe you'll remember her dads Remus and Sirius? if not that okay just know I love you and hope you feel better! love your son Neville" I smile as I look at lily she has already started crying
"is that all" she cries and wipe the tear off my face that has slipped out
"yeah thats all, can you uh send it to them please!"
"of course of course ill go send it now" she smiles with tears still falling down her face
"oh and can you not tell anyone a-about my parents?" I stutter
"of course Neville you can always trust me with anything I promise" she smiles and walks out the door. Her personally is like none other, everyone here has made it their duty to bully me about my teeth, my weight, my hair, my smile, the clothes I wear, but when I'm with lily I feel free and like no one is around she always knows what to say, maybe one day ill be like her, or even with her?
Lily's POV:
Neville is just the sweetest person you could ever meet and people take that as a sign he is an easy target but I know Neville is the strongest person I know.
as I'm walk out the door I turn once more to look at Neville and when I look at him he is reading my book, what a sweet heart! but I needed to get this letter to Neville parents as soon as I could.
"Hey lily!" Harry says as I'm making my way to the dorms
"hello Harry!" I smile
"I was uh wondering, Hermione said my dad was a Quidditch seeker"
"yes he was and a pretty darn good one if I do say so myself, I reckon you would be a great one yourself!"
"really?" he laughs and then I hear a familiar voice say
"how come its her and Hermione who know more about you and your family then you do?" I look behind harry and I see well
"Ron hello how are you?"
"Im well! did you hear harry is going to be the new Gryffindor Seeker"
"Ron" harry whispers
"Really! well congrats Harry I'm really proud of you I knew you could do it!"
"thanks lily!" he laughs "if you ever meet Hermione I reckon you two would be great friends!"
*we all start to laugh*
"well I've got to get on my way" i smile and hold up the letter "got to send this to someone!"
"we'll see you around Lily!" harry says as him and Ron wave.
I run to my dorm and see my owl, I take it out of the cage
"bring this to the longbottoms please" I say as I put it In the owls beak and its off.
...
"Neville I'm back!" I say as I knock on the door
"come in" he laughs "what took so long?"
"I ran into Harry and Ron"
Neville's POV:
I know she laughed but she didn't look okay,
"Are you okay Lily?" I ask
"Ye-yeah I'm fine, I'm just a little tired" she smiles and walks over to me than lays down in my bed I-i didn't know what to do, do I put my arm around her? should I play with her hair? no I'm just gonna let her sleep.

"Neville wake up, I brought you some breakfast!"
"huh? whats going on" I wake up still in the hospital wing and see Lily with
"Breakfast!" she smiles and passes me a plate with all my favourite things!
"wow thank you lily!" I laugh
"just though i would get you some because I know you like to eat before class!" her smile is so contagious I couldn't help myself from smiling "how's your arm?" she ask
"Oh um its alright thank you!"
"well you better eat and get in your robes we have to go to class!"
...
"did you hear?" "Harry is the new Gryffindor seeker" "a first year seeker, that never happens" whispers followed Harry down the halls
"when did that happen?" I ask Lily
"i'm not sure, but its great news" she says, what is a seeker? and why is he the first one? I really don't understand this stuff.
"I don't think I can do it" I hear harry say
"Harry yes you can, its in your blood" Hermione says
"wait really" harry ask
"yes it is, your father was a Gryffindor seeker and a great one" lily laughs, "haven't I already told you that"
"yeah yeah you did" harry says
Hermione and Lily both start laughing, how is it they know more about harry then he dose.
