Last day of eighth grade...
Skye's POV
Everyone is looking around to make sure they're not overdressed. All the girls wear fancy dresses and all the boys wear tuxedos. Actually. Yes, I'm not kidding. Some of the boys and girls are hanging out together, some girls are hanging out together, some boys are hanging out together. "Hey! I love your dress!" my best friend, Anna, says, grinning. "Thanks! Yours is beautiful!" I answer, smiling. "Hey girls! Ooh, love the dresses!" my friend Ciara says. "Thanks. Yours is so cute!" Anna and I chorus. Hailey runs over and gives us a big hug. "We look incredibly amazing!" she squeals. "We do!" Ciara says, smiling. I grin.
Here's a recap of what happened after camp:
We all went home. We stayed in contact until school started and managed to stay friends throughout all of middle school. I got a supporting role in a movie, playing the sister of the main character. Anna competed in a singing competition and won... that's a huge start. One of Ciara's paintings ended up in a teen art gallery- crazy cool! And Hailey sketched out all the sets for the school musical in seventh and eighth grade! Nobody knew how good she was in sixth, so it took until seventh, but they were amazing! We all reached our goals in some way... and supported each other with these goals.
"We're done middle school!" we yell when the ceremony ends. Everyone smiles. Maybe it's end of one episode of our lives, but the next episodes are coming... and they're only gonna get better. ❤️❤️❤️
