Nadine's pov

It was the day I had to leave with my new boss,Kaz Brekker ,to his club.As I was making sure I packed the few important things ,I left the bag in front of my door and went to look for Anthony,to have one last talk together.
I found the office door opened,and Anthony in there looking around the room sadly. Such nostalgic feelings were taking over me,all the evenings that I came here to discuss with him...
-Sad,isn't it?
-It's not sad,child.You should be optimistic.This is a the start of a new life for you .You know work for a powerful man,that will protect you .
-I know but I'll never get along with him as I did with you...
-Never say never!!
Ohh Anthony,so happy all the time.

-Nadine ,one more thing, the golden rules of working with Kaz since you two don't know each other well.
Never ask him about his brother ,his cane or his leg!You are going to talk about it only if he starts telling you .I nod ,being both sad and curious about my new life.
I hug Anthony one more time and then I leave his office, tears forming in my eyes.As I was going down the stairs,I see Kaz standing in the main room.I try to show my most confident attitude.
-Hello Kaz!I try to continue but I'm cut.
-For the moment,it's Mr. Brekker.You're new.
What an attitude he had god.
-Got it,soo first day working together right?
-Do you have your things and everything?We need to get going,he says completely ignoring what I said.
-Yes I have them.
-Let's go then.
Now this man didn't waste no time.
-To answer your question, more like first day of training.
-Training..training for what?
He smirls wickedly then gets back to his
sobriety.
-Your work at the Crow Club will be different.I don't really need pole dancers or stage performers.
-Then why do you need me for?That s what I do.
-What you do,he says and stops walking, turning to face me,is draw attention, and that could be useful in many ways.We could use you as a distraction in missions..

This is gonna be interesting and dangerous.
I enter the Crow Club with fear and my heart beating fast.It smelled like whisky and smoke,with a tint of wood.The place was classy because there were only criminals and gamblers coming there ,no
beggars or homeless people.The entrance ticket was ten kruge and it might be a small price but it kept away the ones that had no place in there.
-First,you'll meet my partners.Then,you will be shown your room and be assigned your first mission.
-Didn't you say I was going to train?
-Plan's changed.Something to do came up and it suits you.

-No more useless talking.Just follow me.

I follow him on the stairs to the 1st floor .We stopped at what looked like a place where they made plans and had discussions.There stood a girl with long black hair,dark Brown eyes,that had more knives that I could count and a boy that had a smiley face but 2 guns at each side of his body.
-Nadine these are Inej and Jesper.If you prove to be useful then you'll be working together .

I shake hands with both of them and introduce myself.My fear was gone for the moment because the two seemed friendly and nice,but it reappered when I met Kaz's dark look again to my right.
-Inej,breaks Kaz the silence,would you mind showing Nadine her room?
-Come with me,she flashes a smile and takes my arm and takes me on a hallway at that floor.

----Kaz pov------
-Oh wow,where did youu find her?Jesper asks.
-It was a gift from Anthony.Hope she will be useful.
-She would be much ready for work if you wouldn't scare her everytime you get the chance
-I am assigning her to that job I told you about tonight. That should be crucial in our decision.

Inej takes me to my room which was Basic but had everything I needed.
-So this is your room,I hope you'll be working with us,I really picture you with us in missions.
-Thanks,but right now I'm so terrified.Is Kaz always like this?
-That's just his personality,but you'll get used to it.He just wants you to see who is the boss since you re new here.But he is a great leader.
-He told me something about a mission .I don't think I m ready but...
-This isn't a are you ready game,interrupts Kaz and both me and Inej turn to the door where he stood.You're always ready to fight and always being careful.Inej,please...
Inej leaves the room and I remain there confused.

-Your first task then,I know that tonight a rich gambler will come here at the Crow Club .I want you to find out if he's working with Pekka Rollins amd what are their next hits.
-Who's Pekka Rollins?
Kaz lets his head down ,annoyed.
-My-our enemy.Now the job is simple, you offer to drink with him,exchange a few flirty replies, get him drunk and then you ask him questions about Pekka and his plans SUBTLE.
-I can try,I can't promise anything though,never done something like this.
-You can do anything if you have a good action plan ,backup plans and give everything you got.You have until tonight to think your moves,he adds and leaves the room with a threatening look like he gave me an ultimatum.

If I had to pull information out from a man by flirting with him, I have to look
charming.
