Evangeline walked down to the other end of the bar while a little disappointment settled in on her gut. It's been a while since she had a decent conversation with someone on the job. She smiled to herself because it was kind of nice. After talking to Shinso for a bit at the bar and accidentally hitting him with her quirk, she felt a little sad seeing him go. She carried on with orders before she happened to look up again. Her eyes met with Shinso's once more, making her heart skip a beat. The room felt like it was completely silent as his eyes watched her with a smile. Evangeline lifted her hand to give him a wave goodbye and he winked back at her. Slowly her cheeks grew hot as she flustered. Did he just wink at me? She felt her cheeks growing more and more flustered as she looked away from Shinso. Get it together! She smacked her cheeks a bit as she looked back up to see him walking out the door. That's when her smile faded into a bit of disappointment.

I'll probably never see him again, huh?

"Evangeline. Come on, there's a lot of orders coming in. Pay attention." her coworker John grumbled under his breath.

"Right! I'm coming." she scurried over.

"Pick up the glass at the end of the bar before another customer comes. We have to look presentable." John mumbled as he poured a drink for a customer.

"Will do! Sorry about that." she quickly moved past him to grab the glass that Shinso left.

"Leave her alone, John." huffed a female customer. "You complain worse than my mother."

The woman talking to John was one of their regulars at the bar and her name was Lilith. She was a tall beautiful woman with curly black and the prettiest dark chocolate skin. Everything she wore showed off her perfect curvy figure and she knew it. Every time the lights hit her skin she almost glowed in beauty. Her beautiful plump lips curled into a smile as she looked at Evangeline, and gave her a quick wink with her hazel eyes. She was gorgeous and her confidence filled up a room. Evangeline was always happy to see her at the bar because she was always so nice to her. Lilith always defended her against John's nagging and bullying, deep down Evangeline wish she could be just like her. If Evangeline could call anyone a friend out here it would be Lilith.

"You are doing great. Don't listen to that idiot of a man." she giggled as she took a drink of her beer.

John rolled his eyes. "Well, if she wasn't flirting on the job then I wouldn't be so-"

"Well..." Lilith placed the beer bottle down on the bar. "Evangeline is a beautiful woman. She's going to have men and women flirt with her. I would sweep her off her feet right here and now if she was into women."

Evangeline's cheeks flustered and giggled softly. "Lilith! Stop it."

"Whatever. It was fucking weird. That guy is in his 60s. Hitting on a younger woman is disgusting." John cringed as he cleaned a glass.

Evangeline frowned, "Hey, don't say mean things like that. He's a nice man."

Lilith glared at John, "First of all, that 'man' is a Pro Hero. Show some respect. And secondly, he's in his 40s and still looks good for his age."

"I don't care it's fucking weird."

Lilith batted her long eyelashes, "You are mocking an older man for flirting with another adult. I don't see your point. They are two consenting adults and can do adult things."

John glared at Lilith. "So what? He can find some old bat to fuck. If the woman is young it's gross."

"I bet that man gets more pussy than you ever will. Especially with that shitty attitude of yours." Lilith laughed softly as her fingernails clicked against her glass.
