Mermaids \ merman Said to very beautiful and their voices captivating to a point they can control tho around them. It is said mermaids only take one partner in their long life often out living humans by 1000s of years, mermaids die after child birth (both males and females can get pregnant) which is one of the many reasons they're so rare. They're often hunted because their blood which has healing and immortality powers. They have gills on the sides of their necks to breath under water but also can have human or flat noses to breath on land. They can have all types of tails or forms not just the generic. Some have the strength to turn into humans and walk. Their skin is slimy like a fish but has the tendency to dry out and need regular baths.
The merpeople like fish have a two slits is bellow their bellybutton on scaley part. One is for reproduction and the other is for waste.
