Zion
I tossed the phone across the floor making it shatter into pieces; that made phone number five that I just wasted money on trying to get in touch with Lundyn's stubborn ass.
My old lady chuckled and shook her head at me. "Son if you dont give that girl some goddamn space, she aint gon never talk to yo ass." She got up from the table to go check on the food she had cooking.
I sighed heavily and smacked my lips. "She need a whole ass two weeks?" I questioned angrily. "She aint even tell me nothing about her moms wedding thats this weekend; I'm still going though."
I was chilling with my mother that raised both me and Zaire after we witnessed our birth parents dying in front of us. Tabetha Roberts was one of the most important people inmy life and I had mad respect for her, even though she went through some shit with her ex-husband. She took both me and Zaire in with open arms and raised us well and to the best of her knowledge. He ex-husbans was an abusive ass nigga and me and Zaire both had to roughen his ass up some while growing up. Putting hands on a woman would never in my book be acceptable because it only show that you are a bitch made ass nigga. My own pops was one, and Lance was one as well since he was a drunkie and he use to put his hands on my old lady.
"Zion, you cant expect to every girl you deal with to be the same; she's not Marissa, she's not that easy." My moms tells me. "By what you tell me about her, she sounds like she has a great head on her shoulders."
I rubbed a hand down my face and sigh heavily. "Speaking of Marissa's crazy ass, that girl almost made me go to jail the other day." I shook my head as I thought about the other day when I picked up Jr. and took him to his nana's house.
"Lord Zion, you and Marissa not on good terms anymore?"
"Ma, that girl got it in her mind that we was supposed to get back together and I aint never said no shit like that." I frowned. "She think just cause she sucked a nigga up that we was gon be together again."
My moms slapped the back of my head and I smacked my lips.
"Ma-"
"You leading her on Zion; didnt I always tell you and Zaire's ass that us women are emotional beings? It can be the littlest thing and our emotions can start coming through without us even knowing." She sighs and shakes her head. "How do you feel towards Marissa? Like the honest to God truth son."
I sighed and rubbed the back of my head before shrugging my shoulders. "Shit I dont know, I just know that I cant stand her and I think she a trifling broad."
"And you dont respect her." My mama added making me frown.
"I mean so? Ma this girl fucked all my homeys and stole from me; you think I'm gonna respect somebody like that? If it wasnt for Jr. she would be dead to me." I state seriously. "Like that girl even fucked Zaire's ass and was smiling all in my face and shit."
Me and Marissa been through some shit as teenagers and now as young adults. We were always on and off with each other and there was a point in time where I actually did love her ass until she crossed me the way she did. When I was eighteen, I got locked up on some robbery charges and shit, and she was supposed to be holding a nigga down but instead she fucked some of my homeys and took my money then went ghost for a little bit and even left my son wit her moms.
"I'm not saying what she did was right Zion, but you gotta let all that shit go son. And you also need to admit the fact that that girl broke your heart so you can fully heal from that." She tells me seriously. "You cant keep running back to her to try and fill that void because then you're gonna end up hurting Lundyn real bad and she doesn't deserve that."
