Present Day

It was like any normal Friday. Me, Chloe, and Noah walked to school together. Since we met that night in July, we have been inseparable. and so have our families. Our parents became best friends and we have dinner at each others houses every other Friday. This Friday was the Schnapps house. I loved there house. It was modern and they had a pool so I was always there. Noah has completely broken out of his shell. He is amazing. He is still shy around other people, but not my family.

School ended

On Fridays I always go to there house if I am hosting. We walk home talk about non sense but laughing so much we couldn't breathe. That's how it always was with us. Or i would laugh at Chloe and Noah yelling at each other. I loved our friend group. Just us against the world it seems at some points.

"So Noah you gonna tell the big news tonight?" Chloe nudged him smiling. He didn't look at all happy though. I thought Chloe might be teasing him so I didn't think much of it but I joined in.

"Oooooo Noah what big news?!?! Do you have a girlfrienddd?!" Chloe and me both started laughing but usually at this point Noah would to, he didn't though.

"Chloe why would you say that. Nothing Y/n. Nothing is happening tonight." He rolled his eyes at Chloe. He was upset. Why didn't he want me knowing. I was his best friend. I looked at Chloe and she shrugged her shoulders. I couldn't stop wondering what he was keeping from me. We continued to walk to the Schnapps. When we arrive there mom always has a snack and lemonade ready, it just our thing. We all sit at the counter while she asks us about our day. She treats me like her own and i love it. We aren't awkward at all. But today was. Noah wouldn't talk. He was usually blabbering about how much he hated English or something like that but not today. he just sat still. He didn't eat his snack or his lemonade. Of course his mom noticed and looked at Chloe with "the look". You know the look like he okay? Or like is it about that? Chloe nodded and Mrs. Schnapp seemed to understand. What were they not telling me. I get if it was like someone died, but they still would have told me.

"Chloe why don't you take Y/n upstairs. Me and Noah will do the dishes." I knew what she was doing. She wanted to talk to Noah, alone. Chloe nudged her head towards the stairs and I slowly got up out of my stool and started walking up till we reached Chloes room. I plopped on her bed wondering what they could be talking about. Chloe quietly closed the door and looked at me.

"I know you wanna know whats happening. But you can't, just not right now. It was bad of me to bring it while walking home. Noah is gonna tell everyone tonight." she went to go sit at her desk.

"But why can't I know now, before my family. I'm your guys best friend, and you cant tell me?!" I was so confused what was the secret. Why couldn't they tell me.

"It was Noah's decision Y/n I don't know." She spun around in her chair and looked at me. She continued to talk to get off the subject.

"So Y/n... Is Bryce coming tonight?" She had this evil smile on her face. Chloe has thought Bryce was cute since they met. I think its totally disgusting. I literally bursted out laughing.

"Chloe stop he is so fucking ugly and annoying. AND YOUR 12 AND HES 15."

"A GIRL CAN HAVE DREAMS Y/N AND YOUR BROTHER IS MINE." We both fell to the ground laughing and then we heard a knock on the door. Chloe yelled come in and there walked in my brother.

"Um I was just supposed to tell you guys that we are here and you both should come down. And thanks for dreaming about me Chloe." he smiled at her and walked back downstairs. We looked at each other again and starting uncontrollably laughing again, rolling over the ground, and hitting each other telling both of us to stop. But then I realized. Dinner. The secret. At dinner Noah is telling his secret and I jumped up and ran downstairs.
