New Neighbor//Noah Schnapp

Its been about 3 months since Noah left and everyday we have been talking less and less. He posts pictured on his instagram of him and his new cast or things on his snap story of set, but wont answer me. Today is September 29th and that means only 4 days till the twins birthday. Chloe had mentioned Noah coming home, but for some reason i didn't want to see him. Chloe has been growing more and more popular but she is still my best friend. She is the same Chloe but with and extra hand full of friends i guess. Today is Tuesday and i heard there is a new student, and hes a boy. I didn't really care, i knew there was a slim chance we would be friends. Well that slim chance was bigger then i expected.

Me and Chloe walked into school that day and the principle came running up to us.

"Good morning girls. Any chance you two would mentor or new student? Please, its worth extra credit." She winked at us and Chloe had a big smile but again i really didn't care. She nudged me indicating for me to smile. I knew she would want to do it.

"We would love to! Whats his name?" she proceeded to say. The principle also now had a big smile on her face.

"His name is Caleb. Follow me and to the office and I will introduce you, and thank you girls!" We followed her to the office where we saw a boy sitting in one of the waiting room chairs. He looked up at us and omg. He was hot. Like not 7th grade looking hot. like hot hot. He Continued to then stand up and he was at least 2 and half inches taller then me and Chloe. He probably didn't want to girls showing him around but it didn't look like it bothered him. he smiled and then stuck out his hand,

"Hi I'm Caleb. Whats your guys names." He smiled as saying it with perfect white teeth. Chloe and me just stared at him and then i thought how weird that was so i answered,

"I am Y/n and this is Chloe. Welcome to Scarsdale Middle School. We will be your mentors." He shook both of our hands like a gentlemen. I loved him already.

"Well Caleb just follow y/n and Chloe today, mostly Y/n because you have they same schedule. Have fun!" We walked out of the office and i wanted to say something so it wasn't awkward, but what? Chloe still hasn't talked which i have no clue why.

"I'm sorry you got stuck with two girls." i blurted out as we made our way to 1st period. 

"No its all good, you guys seem really cool." Omg he thinks were cool. Hot guy, i mean Caleb thinks were cool!!! 

"So where did you move here from?" 

"Chicago. My dad owns a business and we were always in New York so we just moved here. I'm glad because in Chicago i was homeschooled, it sucked." We continued to talk all throughout the day. He sat with us at lunch and we got away with talking in class because they teacher probably thought we were talking about the school or some shit. And yes, Chloe did end up talking. I don't exactly know what took her so long. It was now the end of the day and me and Caleb have really gotten to know each other so I thought it was right to invite him over.

"Hey Caleb, Chloe you guys wanna come over? Chloe is my neighbor and we can walk from school so are you in?" He smiled and nodded and we walked all the way home. When we arrived Bryce was sitting at the kitchen counter eat and orange with some water. He turned back and looked confused at the sight of Caleb. Of course he was confused. The only boy that has step a foot in my house from my grade, was Noah.

"Who's this?" he said jerking his head up. Caleb looked at his feet.

"This is Caleb. He is new and me and Chloe offered to be his mentors for the day. Caleb this is Bryce, my older brother." Bryce just looked us and turned around. 

"Ignore him, can i get you anything." I said turning around and looking at Chloe and Caleb.

"I can still hear you y/n." I rolled my eyes and just tilted my head to the backyard where we walked out sat in the sun. We just sat out there and soon my mom came home and brought us out some lemonade.

"Well hello, who must you be?" She smiled handing him a glass.

"i am Caleb miss, Caleb Brown." He stuck his hand out and they shook hands.

"I am Y/ns mom. Random question, is there anyway your related to Carrie Brown?" 

"Yes, that's my mother. Why do you ask?" He smiled but also was confused.

"Oh my. She was my best friend growing up and through college. We went our seperate ways but we still followed each other on facebook and she post about you all the time. Please may I invite your family to dinner tomorrow night." He looked shocked but also happy.

"Wow that's crazy, and yeah i will for sure ask and make sure to tel y/n. It was nice meeting you." My mom walked back inside. 

"Well that's literally crazy." Chloe says. We started talking again about random stuff and then Caleb and Chloe had to leave. It was dinner time and we sat outside because i was hot for a September day. We ate dinner and laughed as we always did and for once in 3 months, i wasnt thinking about Noah. I was thinking about Caleb.
