I still can't believe that I am indeed here inside the Royal Palace. The surroundings are breath-taking and archaic, almost same like the pack house of Luke. After Sophia introduced us to other servant, she told us that by cleaning each room, we can memorize every corner of the palace, we just have to avoid the guards to avoid interrogation.
To start with, she told us that the Palace has 6 wings.
On the North-East Wings, the Queen resided, where nobody except the trusted people can go through.
On the East and West wing, resided the elite guards of the Queen, while on South-East Wing and South-West Wing will be for all the Council members of the Kingdom.
The remaining North-West Wing said to be for the guest and for her personal maids. With this information, Olivia and I agreed to roam the palace separately.
She went to the North-West wing, while I go to the South-East wing, because both are safe from the enemy's eye.
Right now, I am done in cleaning the 6 rooms, and I'm fucking exhausted because all rooms are massive in size. Although not all, need some thorough cleaning aside from arranging the bed sheets and the bathroom.
I began to pace the South-West wing when all of the sudden someone came out from nowhere and I, accidentally bumped into his shoulder as he was taller than me, I guess all male wolf are giant.
"Goddess I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, forgive me." I blurted out and lower my gaze.
"Look at me young lady." He ordered, he thought he can command me but it has really no effect on myself, but I have to obey, so slowly I lifted my head up and look straight at his eyes.
"Who are you? I am sure I never saw your face before, are you new here?" the tall man asked, I carefully studied his face, he has blue-grey eyes and brown hair, probably same age as Jake and you can tell that he is indeed handsome despite his age. If Zander knew that I am checking out someone, I am sure he would go ape, to which Althea agrees to.
I clear my throat first before I answer his question.
"I am Marie Sir, and I am the new servant." I replied, he studied my face and I panicked as he stared at my necklace which accidentally came out. I quickly grabbed it and hide inside my uniform and suddenly his gaze shot back again to me.
"Well, nice meeting you Marie and don't call me Sir, that makes me feel Old, so call me Matthew." As he turn around and started to walk away from me. And what worries me is that he saw my necklace and I saw the sudden shock displayed on his face upon seeing it.
I breathed a deep sigh of relief, when he was out of my sight, that was unexpected, but he seems nice, though my necklace didn't glow or emits some heat meaning he was not a threat, however, I still can't trust anyone.
Nonetheless, maybe it is alright to ask Sophia later about him.
I turn my attention again on my task and proceed to the South-West Wing's room, Oh boy this gonna be a tiring day.
