Your Perspective
"So you're . . . "
"Part Qilin, also known as an Illuminated beast. I thought that since we are together, you wouldn't mind if I confessed this to you." She said, looking away from me. Ganyu had come to me following an important talk with Zhongli and that Anemo guy with the spear. When she finally came back she seemed anxious about something as she sat me down and then told me this.
"So?"
"What do you mean so? Do you not grasp the severity of the situation?" She says shaking me briefly.
'Not really? I say with a sheepish smile on my face. Ganyu looked like she was about to burst into tears, causing my expression to go to a worried one. I tried comforting her asking what's wrong, and wiping away the forming tears from her face.
"I don't see you any different! Honest! I still love you no matter what, okay?"
After calming down and taking a couple of deep breaths, she calmed down, although still upset.
"I-It's not that. . . I'm worried about us."
"What about us?" I question concerned.
"It means that . . . that we won't be able to be together for long. My lifespan vastly outnumbers your own, and not only that . . . I can't bear to see you go when the time comes . . ." She admits solemnly. I began to understand what she was saying, pulling her in for a hug to better comfort her.
"Hey, look. Life is short, but the feelings of love are eternal, no?" I tell her. This doesn't really reassure her so I ran my hand through her hair. Ganyu finally began to let go, calming down in the proccess.
"So let's make the most of our time together then, alright?" I say, holding her hand. Ganyu wipes away her growing tears and hugs me tightly. I offer to take her out for a walk to calm the mind. She nods and takes me up on my offer.
"Very well then. Shall we?" I ask, motioning to the door. "Lady's first after all."
We leave the house and head out to overlook the hill nearby. We sit near the flower patch I planted and she rested her head on my lap. I patted her on the head and asked whether she was feeling better. She opened her eyes to look at me, before closing them.
"I suppose I am. Your tactics never cease to amaze me." She says dreamily.
"Would you like me to rub your horns in order to help you relax a little more?" I ask her.
"As much as that sounds lovely, I would rather be here awake with you. After all, the fireflies are out and it's a full moon. The scenery and this time together with you is something I would rather not miss." She says.
"That's . . . That's really sweet of you to say, Ganyu." I say sheepishly. Ganyu smiles at me, put a hand on my cheek and pulls me down, and rests her head against mine
"Its moments like these, that I will forever cherish." She whispers.
"Yeah . . . I'll cherish these moments too."
