Chapter 22: The Introduction

Natsu walked down the street, bundled up from head to toe in a cloak to hide his true from the other people of magnolia town. Sting and Shara were dressed similarly only skipping around excitedly, Sting was used to the outside world, so he wasn't as excited as the little shadow dragon was to be seeing real humans.

"Shara!" Natsu hissed at her. She paused and looked to him. "Your tail is showing."

She glanced behind her to see the small black appendage waving back and forth excitedly. "Oh... Sorry Mama." She brought it back under the cloak and wrapped it around her waist like the other two dragon children had it. She then smiled at him. "Are we almost there?"

"Just about..." Natsu stopped in front of a building. It was tall and glorious, the Fairy Tail sign and symbol proudly displayed on the front. Sting and Shara gawked at it.

"A real guild." The black haired girl said staring up at the building from under her little hood. "I've heard about them... All people who use magic gather here."

"Not all of them." Natsu said walking up to the door. "Just a few of the best..."

He placed his clawed hand on the door and slowly pushed it open. Inside was your typical Fairy Tail. Gray and Elfman going head to head in a fight that was breaking tables and chairs. Cana sitting on the guild bar, a cup of beer swinging in her hand. Erza was ignoring the chaos around her as she enjoyed her strawberry cake. Even Lucy was there, Happy clutched in her arms as she yelled at Gray to stop fighting and put some clothes on.

"Cool." Shara breathed out, looking around.

Natsu picked her up and hugged her, he felt so overwhelmed to be here again. When was the last time he was at the guild.... A long time ago, almost a year. And now here he was. He almost felt bad about not thinking about them sense he was taken away that night by Paleoth. He actually felt grateful to the albino woman for doing what she has. He wouldn't have gotten to know Cobra better, or Shara or Mino and Stella. He wouldn't have had his eggs.

"Can we help you?" A small voice asked.

Natsu stopped in his thinking to look down, a little blue haired girl stood in front of him nervously with a white cat next to her.

"Wendy?" Natsu asked surprised. "You joined the guild?"

The little sky dragon blinked in surprise. "You know my name?"

Natsu smiled. "Of course I do. We fought together."

"Who are you?" Charle asked taking a step forward and eyeing Natsu suspiciously.

The pinkette put Shara down and she moved under his cloak where Sting was already hiding. "Don't freak out please? I'll look a little different but I'm completely normal."

Wendy tilted her head confused but the confusion turned to surprise and then joy. Her hands flew to her face as she started shaking.

Natsu had taken his hood down, so now his face, scales and all, and hair was visible to everyone. Though only Wendy was paying attention.

"Natsu...?" Wendy squeaked out of her vibrating body.

"It's really me Wendy. Just...Please don't start screaming at the top of your lungs or something."

Wendy shook her head back and forth quickly, looking like she was going to cry. "N-natsu..."

"Wendy..." Natsu held a hand out.

"Natsu's back!!" She cried out before leaping at him.

"Wendy no!!" Natsu screamed throwing his arms out, he caught her and what he thought would happen did. The two of them exploded in a purple mist as soon as they touched.
