The Avengers were playing house games as team bonding. Truth or Dare, Never have I ever, Uno, and other board games.
"Truth or Dare Peter," Tony asked. Of course Peter was there, he was like a son to every single person in the penthouse, and then some.
"Hmm, dare," Peter answered. Tony had a sheepish smile on, like he was sorry for what he was about to do.
"I dare you to do as many back flips you can after jumping out of the window on this floor," Tony dared. They were on floor 91, the highest floor in the tower. There were protests, not coming from Peter, no but the others. The others didn't know his real identity yet, Peter Parker was Spider-Man. "You can decline if you wish."
"Nope!" Peter chirped. Peter ran before one of the Avengers could grasp him. He ran to the window that Tony had made openable just for him. He jumped out despite the protests. Flip, flip, flip. On and on this went. He did about 56 flips, when he was getting closer to the ground. 50 feet, 30 feet, 10 feet. Thwip. He shot his web shooters back to the top of the building he had jumped from. The webs didn't reach that far. But he was still able to attach to the building. He crawled to the window he had jumped from.
"You're Spider-Man? Not surprised," Natasha commented.
"You caught my arm! You'd have to have an immense amount of strength to catch it." You guessed it, Bucky said that.
"Let us play another game, for I wish someone not to do something so dangerous again," Thor hath said. Murmurs of agreement filled the room. "How about, we see who is worthy of Mjolnir!" The men-children were shouting,
"Yes!! Yeah! I bet I'm worthy!" And one by one they lined up by the hammer, Clint was to go first. He put on hand near the head, and another gripped the bottom, he heaved, but to no use. Clint was not worthy. Scott went next, he took the same course of actions, but the hammer only budged. Banner took a turn, no luck, then Steve, who was able to. Tony, Bucky, Sam, they weren't able to lift it. Pietro was able to. Wanda was not. At first Natasha was reluctant, but her baby spider was able to convince her. It budged for her. Then the rest *sorry cannot remember who else there is, I'm sleep deprived* no one else was able to lift it, but Peter, no Peter hadn't tried yet. You see, earlier that morning, Peter had moved the hammer that was on top of his bag.
Ten hours earlier
Thor chuckled and placed his hammer on top of a rucksack that was lying about. (Sorry I used rucksack, I see Thor as an Englishman) He wanted to see if there were anyone worthy among the mortals that filled the tower. If the bag was gone, he'd know someone there was worthy. He left to do his daily routine. Eat, workout, spar, nap, go to New Asgard. There were still problems among the citizens. When it was all finally settled he went back to the mortals tower. The rucksack was gone, and his hammer was in a different place.
End of Flashback
Third Person
Peter had still not gone with his turn, for he knew nothing of what "worthy" had meant. He decided against his turn, but Tony beckoned him. Everyone pleaded him to at least try. Reluctantly, Peter listened to their wishes. He put a hand on the top, near the head of the hammer, but not on the hammer. Then placed another hand around the bottom and slowly tightened his grip. He thought, with everyone using all of their strength, that you needed to be strong. But little did he know, he was quite wrong. As he pulled with all of his strength, the hammer flew at his head at light speed. Then everything went black.
'This was supposed to be a not-dangerous activity' Thor sighed and thought.
When Peter awoke, he saw Tony on the table yelling, "MY SONS BETTER THAN ALL YOU PANSIES!" This was the story on how all of the Avengers realized Peter Parker was a worthy cinnamon roll, that had to be protected.
