Chap. 14- The Truth

(NickPOV)

After dance, Amanda and I decided to hang out for a bit so we ended up walking to the nearest Wawa's (like a 7-11 or drugstore) to get milkshakes. As we were walking, I couldn't help but stare. She was stunning. Even with hairs out of place and a messy topknot, she was beautiful. I laced her fingers with mine and started towards the entrance. We got our milkshakes, and I paid for both of us. We sat down at a table outside and started talking.

"So, are you excited about NRG?" I asked her.

"Yes!" She smiled.

"Me too." I smiled back.

"Did you hear about what Annie did to Lizzy?" She asked me.

"Yeah, I did. And then Montana randomly showed up at Mikey's house. Isn't that kind of... Suspicious?" I asked.

"Well, personally I just find it ironic that she was magically there when Nicolette didn't invite her. It's almost like she knew Mikey would be there," Amanda stated matter of factly.

"I don't know. I feel like Montana was somehow informed that Mikey was dating Lizzy and that he'd be there. I don't like what I think happened, I feel like it was plotted,"

"Do you think Annie might've told Montana to... You know... Try to break them up or something?"

"Should we ask Annie if she talked to Montana? But if she did, how would she even get her number?" I asked.

"I think we should talk to Annie. Even though Lizzy and Annie made up, Annie can't keep secrets. Especially this one." Amanda replied.

"So, let's call her?" Amanda took out her iPhone after I nodded my head in agreement and dialed Annie's number, putting it on speaker so we both could hear what Annie had to say.

*phone convo*

Annie- Hello?

Amanda- Hey it's me and Nick.

Nick- Listen, before you and Lizzy made up, did you ask anybody in the crew for Montana Isgro's phone number?

Annie- Uhm, n-no. Who's Monstana Isgro?

Amanda- Cut the crap Annie, we all know who Montana is.

Annie- Why would I even text her?

Nick- You were fighting with Lizzy! You needed to get revenge. Just tell us the truth.

Annie- You can't tell Lizzy...

Amanda- We kind of have to.

Annie- Fine. Mikey gave me her number, and I texted her telling her to get Mikey back and steal him from Lizzy. But first you have to know that I regret everything I told her and asked Mikey for.

Amanda- That's all we wanted to know. Bye.

*End of phone convo*

(Amanda's POV)

After the conversation, Mick walked me home and I invited over Charlotte and Sophie. I told them everything that happened between Mikey and Annie. We decided it would be best to tell her. Even though it would break Lizzy's heart, we have to tell her that Mikey pretty much started the drama.

"Are you sure we should be doing this?" Sophie asked.

Charlotte nodded, "Mikey can't be keeping this secret from her."

We knew that Lizzy would be at Mikey's house because she's been Tweeting pictures of them together.

"She's going to be heart broken, but it'll be the best for their realtionship. Some secrets can't be kept." I said and rang the Fusco's doorbell. Nicolette answered.

"Hey guys! How are you?" She answered warmly.

"We are fantastic," Sophie said with a dorky voice.

"Great, well I assume that you wanna see Lizzy and Mikey. They're in the living room," she ushered us in and left to go back to whatever she was doing previously. We snuck into the living room and yelled obnoxious things as we ran in flailing our arms. They jumped and Lizzy practically flew into Mikey's lap even though she was already cuddled up to him with his arm around her shoulders. We ended up getting bottles of water because Sophie and Char were still thirsty from practice. I still had butterfly's from seeing Nick, but I was going to tell them that later.

"Actually Mikey, we were wondering if we could steal Lizzy from you for a bit if you don't mind?" I asked.

"Uh, sure," Mikey said with a sad glint in his eyes.

"What could possibly be so important that you need to take me from Mikey. Whatever it is, can't he know too?" Lizzy questioned.

"Lizzy, it's important," Charlotte said sternly.

"Fine," Lizzy gave up.

We walked out of the Fusco's to the nearest park. How in the hell are we going to tell her in a "calm and soothing" manner? I mean, what's going to come out of this?

"What's wrong? What happened, is everything okay?" Lizzy asked, with concern filling her eyes.

"Well, um, there's not an easy way to say this, but... Charlotte continue!" I said.

"I'm just going to get to the point and I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Remember the night Montana was at the Fusco's? Well Annie texted Montana telling her to get Mikey back. You're probably wondering how and who gave Montana's number to Annie..." Charlotte said and made a pause, "Well, Mikey did."

Lizzy's eyes widened.

"So, Mikey pretty much started this drama." Sophie said.

Before we knew it Lizzy's shoulders slumped and she started crying. "Why would he do that?" She whispered.
