"Hey Kyler, have you seen my dark blue hoodie?" Kenneth asks, stepping int my bedroom with a frown.

"I haven't, sorry bud," I reply from the floor with Colorado as we play with his toys. "Have you asked Keith?"

"Yeah, I did, and he hasn't seen it either," he pouts flustered as I can tell he is trying to think where his missing piece of clothing is; the hoodie is his favorite.

"I'm sorry, Kenny, I wish I knew where it was," I gently reply as 'Rado hands me a colorful plastic block that I stack on top of one in front of him with a smile.

"It's alright, Ky. I'll go look in the laundry room again," he sighs before walking out of the room.

Kenneth is four and a half minutes younger than Keith, and they are identical physically except for their dominate hands. Kenneth is left-handed like me while Keith is right-handed.

Focusing my full attention back on Colorado, I can't help the smile that forms at the sight of my sweet boy. He is a beautiful mixture of me, and his other dad Carter O'Brien. Carter left us to attend university in London, England a year and a half ago while I was pregnant. Yes, Carter knows about our son, and no we are not in a relationship any longer. When Carter left for university we broke up, and he has never seen or met our son, but he does send child support every month, but he doesn't have any legal rights to Colorado. He voluntery signed off his rights the week before he left the country.

"How about we go for a walk in the woods, huh, 'Rado?" I ask softly, needing to be outside, and I'm sure he does, too.

That is one thing with all Warlocks and Witches, we need to spend as much time as possible in nature.

"Yesh!" he cheeks pushing to his feet with a toothy grin at me.

"Let's get our warm cloths on, okay?" I ask while walking toward my closet to fetch the needed items; Colorado and I share a room.

Pulling on our clothes, I carry him down the stairs toward the front door in the living room when I'm stopped by Parker and Peter.

"Hey, where are the two of you going?" Parker inquires with a furrowed brow, stopping his conversation with his twin; Parker is the worrier of the two.

"We're going for a walk in the woods, since I feel the need to be outside," I softly reply with a tiny smile at them.

"We're coming with then, let me ask if anyone else wants to join," Parker replies for him and his twin.

"Okay," I murmur, just wanting to be alone with my son, but I know that isn't happening once Parker has made up his mind about something.

"Papa, go," Colorado whines, gently patting my chest with his left hand with a pout at me.

"In a minute, baby, unkie Parker and unkie Peter are coming with us," I tell him with a gentle smile.

"You wanted to go just you and Colorado didn't you?" Peter asks once Parker is out of the room to find our parents and brothers.

"Yeah," I mumble avoiding his gaze.

"Why didn't you tell him that then?" he asks with a gruff voice.

"I didn't because I know once he makes up his mind about something, he won't change his mind," I mumble glancing at my older brother.

"He does that beacuse we're very protective of all of you, especially you two, Kenneth and Keith," he quietly replies.

"I understand and appreciate this, but we would be okay on our own once and a while," I tell him as I make eye contact with him.

"I know, but considering everything, it's in our nature to protect you guys more," Peter says from behind me.

Turning around to face him with a frown while 'Rado continues to pout; "I appreciate this, but I am capable of protecting myself and Colorado."

"I know you are, Ky, but it's my job as your older brother to protect my siblings, and my nephew," Parker replies with a firm voice as we stare at each other while everyone else enters the room.

"Enough of the pissing contest, and let's go for a walk in the woods," dad says on a sigh from the entryway of the room.

Turning away from Parker in slight irritation, I walk out the front door, and toward the woods without waiting for the others,. I can hear the others footsteps following behind us, but one set of feet are walking at a fast pace than the rest.

"You know he loves you, and wants to protect you," Julian softly says from beside me once he catches up to us.

"I know, but it's not like I can't protect Colorado or me if I needed, too," I mumble as we enter the tree line. "I'm not incapable, or a human."

"We know that, Kyler, but it's just who we are, especially after the war ten years ago," he murmurs.

Turning to briefly look at him with blurry eyes; "That was ten years ago, we've all grown into our powers, well except for my pyrokenisis."

"I know, baby," he gently replies with a tender smile. "You'll get it though."

Colorado whimpers at Julian while he leans toward the man with his arms outstretched. Julian grins as he takes my baby from me as we siliently take in the sights and sounds around us. The others are quietly talking behind us, and we spend the next hour in the woods before returning back to the house.

The entire Fireborn Clan of Witches and Warlocks all live together on twenty acres of land, and there are three hundred people in total. There are other Clans of Witches and Warlocks in the world that are larger, smaller, or the same size as ours. We tend to stick to ourselves, but we can blend in with humans if we need, too, and there are a few Witches or Warlocks who have mate and married with humans.
