Unexpected

Ae Cha's thoughts: 'I can't wait to sing this song! I've been listening to it so much that I told Dad that...I found it very touching.'  I have been practicing secretly. Since Dad was going to his office at school I, on the other hand, was on a computer singing, and since Rai and M-21 are staying with Daddy and me. I figured that now, our life has turned into a family. I was getting off my bed when suddenly, I felt like my knees gave up. I tried to get up but, didn't have the strength to move thankfully, Dad made a button next to my bed in case of emergency, and then, I pressed it. 

Nobody's POV:

Frankenstein was finishing making pancakes, for everyone. He got a notification from his phone, realizing it was the alert button he had installed on Ae-Cha's bed in case of emergency. Frankenstein stopped what he was doing and rushed to his daughter's room and noticed her lying figure on the ground. He panicked and he immediately rushed to his laboratory as he went to check on her vitals. While both Rai and M-21 had to blink twice until they decided to follow them downstairs.

"Ae Cha, are you alright? Does anything hurt?"

She weakly shook her head as she wrapped her arms around her daddy's neck, and she was picked up and retaken to the laboratory this time in a month. Once Franken was done, he heard his daughter slow breathing as he rechecked the results and saw from his diagnosis that she was getting weaker by the minute but her vitals were strangely getting stronger. Which surprised him, she looked up at her Dad and spotted M-21 and Rai standing right next to her lying body and said with a smile,

"Don't worry I'm going to be fine. Besides, isn't time for school Rai? You should head there too, M-21. I don't want you guys to worry, one should always enjoy a good day."

Rai stared at the girl with worry and sadness, while M-21 just looked at her with concern since he saw her as a sister. Then, Frankenstein said, "Ae, you're going to stay home today."

"I don't want to stay here alone," she said and continued, "I wanna be with you all and I don't want to make you all worry about me."  

Frankenstein looked at her daughter in conflict until he came up with a solution, "You will sleep in the office then, and you will take your medicine."

The girl grimaced at the mention of her medicine yet she kept a strained smile. Rai and M-21 breathed out in relief, knowing she was going to be alright. Frankenstein chuckled evilly fully knowing that she didn't like it, as he turned his back towards her and collected the newly updated medicine saying,

"Ae-Cha, I made sure your medicine tastes of strawberries."

Ae-Cha smiled, slowly sitting up, and raised her little arms so she could be picked up by her Dad. Making M-21 smile sadly at her while Rai had the same monotone look but with the smallest smile he gave her. 

"Let's go, then!" exclaimed Ae-Cha with a determined face.

M-21's thoughts: 'How can she smile and not be afraid of dying at the same time?'

Rai's thoughts: 'She is a brave light for you, Franken.'

Frankenstein's thoughts: 'I do not want to risk it but...I just can't trust anyone to take care of her right now since both the organization and the DA-5 are probably on our tail even without us realizing it. I know that one day people will get suspicious about both me and my daughter.

Once they have arrived at school...

Ae-Cha's POV:

I wore a pink mask, a long-sleeved woolen blue sweater, dark blue pants, and sparkly white shoes. My hair was let down neatly brushed, with a butterfly hair clip and small flower earrings. Once the car stopped, Daddy walked out first to open the door for Rai, while M-21 opened his door and got out as well. I carefully slid to open my door but Daddy got there before me.
