The New Diamond

Another Beginning

"Pink!" Yellow shouted. "I'm coming!" She answered back. Racing down the stairs made her heart pump faster and faster. Pink knew something important was happening today, she just didn't know what. As she entered the Throne Room (or the Gathering Hall) she saw Blue and Yellow sitting on their thrones. She walked up to them and curtseyed. "Hello Blue, Yellow. You both look lovely today."  Pink said with a smile. Blue giggled and said softly, "Why thank you, Pink." Yellow looked down at her and said "I would appreciate a warning next time when you are almost late. Have your pearl tell us at least." Pink looked down and climbed onto her chair. White Pearl walked in and said, "Ladies, please welcome the "Mother of Homeworld", White Diamond!" White walked inside. She smiled as the other diamonds bowed. "My dearest daughters," she began, "As you know, today is a very special day. I have not told you why it is though. Today, your father and brothers will come to pay us a visit." Pink grinned with excitement. It was not often her father and brothers came to see them. "They shall arrive shortly. Then me and your father will announce the important reason for this gathering." 

White talked to Yellow and Blue as Pink sat wondering what the news was going to be about. All of a sudden, Black Pearl walked into the room. "My beautiful diamonds, presenting the 'Father of Homeworld' Black Diamond. As he walked in, Pink grinned. She had forgotten how much he looked like Yellow. "And the warriors of Homeworld. Green, Orange, and Red Diamond." They all walked in and bowed. "My sons." White said and wrapped them in a hug. Orange laughed and looked at Pink. Orange and Pink diamond had always been the closest with each other. Red pulled back and looked at Pink. "I hear you're having trouble with finding a colony. If I was you, I would wait until your a little more mature." Red said, flashing a wicked grin. Pink rolled her eyes at that comment. Him and Yellow had always picked on her. "Now my children, do not start this. Today is a very important day. Pearl, please have the boys chair come in." "Yes my diamond." White Pearl said as she pressed the key-pad. Four thrones appeared next to theirs. As they took a seat, White and Black Diamond stood before them.

"Today, you all will witness a new diamond coming into this world." Black Diamond said in his low, but soft voice. Pink stood up from her chair and smiled. Red looked concerned. "Why do we need another sister?" he said frowning. "Are we not doing fine by ourselves?" "Yes you are. But your mother and I have decided to have one more child." Black said, smiling at White. "This is completely unprecedented." Yellow said. "We are getting along just fine without another diamond. What color will they be? What will their traits be? Where will they rule?" White Diamond held up her hand. "No questions now. It's almost time. Come along my children." 

They walked to the spot where all the diamonds had been made, The Volcano of Life. The other gems of Homeworld were cheering and yelling for the celebration. Black and White Diamond placed a stone into the covered area. "Peridot, please start the process." Black Diamond said. "Yes sir." she said as she pulled a lever. Light shine from the resting place of the stone. A loud crashing sound came next and then a loud boom. The diamonds looked down onto the resting place, where a new diamond was standing.
