Athena looked at her mother with a wide smile, launching herself at her. Maya bent down, picked the little girl up, and spun around.
"I missed you!" Athena exclaimed, clinging to Maya like a koala, her arms and legs wrapping around her mother.
"I've missed you too, darling. But what are you doing here, you're supposed to be at the academy in Germany!" Maya said, placing the girl down, crouching in front of her with a loving smile, and holding her hands.
Athena chuckled nervously, shifting to her feet. "Well, I got into a little trouble so they decided to send me here."
Issac laughed, gaining Maya's attention.
"She's just like you! Finding trouble wherever she goes."
Athena whirled, looking towards the male behind her and back to her mother.
"Do you two know each other?" Athena asked, obvious confusion written on her face.
Maya looked at her daughter, with a gentle smile. "He's just somebody I used to know a long while ago."
Issac looked at Maya and rolled his eyes. He hated how she was practically shoving their relationship in his face. It was as if she was taunting him. A silent reminder of his fuck up. He was just 'someone she used to know'. Out of any and all descriptions, she gave him that one.
Sure, he was her quite literally unhinged ex but he still deserved the right to be something more. Someone more than a lost connection.
"We should move along with the tour unless you'd like to show her around, Maya?" Issac muttered as the rest of the students walked out of the music room, gathering into a large group.
Maya shook her head and gently pushed Athena over to him, guiding her over to the rest of the group.
"I have some things to attend to so, I'll let you take it from here," Maya said, kissing Athena on the head and nodding to Issac as she walked off.
Issac sighed, leading the group to the next area, staying silent for the most part.

Steven, Hope, Maya, and Stefanie marched into Stefan's office, closing the door behind them as Stefan gestured for them to take a seat in front of his desk. They all took a seat, looking at the older Salvatore with suspicion.
"Seeing as you never call us four into your office, this seems urgent. Who died?" Steven stated, crossing his arms as he leaned back slightly in his seat.
Stefan laughed.
"We need your help with an errand," Stefan said, standing from his seat and pacing back and forth behind his desk.
"That depends... What does this errand consist of, father dearest?" Steven asked, typing on his phone. Stefan walked up behind the boy, snatching the phone from his hands and stuffing it into his pocket.
"We've heard rumors of a wolf roaming the state lines. Last we've heard, they have no record of turning before, meaning either their curse was just barely activated or they've done a damn good job at hiding it." Stefan stated with a sigh as he rested back in his seat.
"Tonight's a full moon, and the state lines are hours away. There's no possible way we would make it in time." Stefanie said, looking at her uncle with confusion.
"Exactly. That means if we leave within the next..." Stefan looked at his watch. "Seven minutes, We can get there just when the moon is at its peak."
"You've planned this out in multiple ways, haven't you?" Hope asked, running a hand over her face.
