Ishita and purvi reached college together when suddenly ishita stopped purvi as she said,
'i think i'm going to talk to him today.' Said ishita excitedly, and boy was her excitement reciprocated by purvi.
'really? I'm so happy for you!'
'i'm so happy for me too rn...'

The girls' excitement was interrupted by kavin and dushyant,
'hey georgeous.' Greeted kavin to purvi.
'hey handsome.' Replied purvi.
'kya baat hai aaj dono bahaut muskura rahi ho?' asked kavin
'khushi ka toh main tumhe batati hoon canteen mein, thik hai ishu?' said purvi as she gave a 'best of luck' look before leaving with kavin.
'hey..' said ishita as she was trying to muster courage.
'actually, mujhe-uhh, jaana hai-kahi—urgent-urgent hai...sorry!' said dushyant as he left in a haste.
'isse kya hua?' thought ishita.

Ishita thought of catching up with dushyant in the canteen, she was glad to see him with kavi.
'kavin, tum mere liye zara pepsi le aaoge please?' purvi requested to which kavin quickly adhered, 'arre, ishita ke liye toh bolna bhul hi gayi, dushyant tum le aaona yaar..' purvi continued and dushyant just shrugged and left.
'so, how was it?' asked a giddy purvi.
'arre abhi tak mauka nahi mila, jab isse baat karne jao, yeh ulti direction bhag jaata hai.' Complained ishita.
'chal koi nahi, abhi isko aane de, phir main kavin ko lekar thodi der baad nikal jaaungi, thik hai?'
'yaar ek tu hai, itne efforts kar rahi hai ki hum baat karle, aur ek ye dushyant..' ishita stopped as she saw kavin coming with two pepsis, alone.
'kavin dushyant kahan hai?'asked purvi.
'arre pata nahi, pepsi di mujhe, aur kaha ki kahin jaana hai..strange!' said kavin as he sat down and handed purvi her pepsi, as purvi's gaze fell on a disappointed ishita, who too left.
'ab isse kya hua?' asked kavin.
'yeh dushyant kyun ignore kar raha hai ishita ko?' asked purvi in anger.
'ab woh usse ignore kar raha hai, yaar iss bande ka samajh hi nahi aa raha hai mujhe, bhagwaan jaane kya chal raha hai iske dimaag mein!' replied kavin.
'dekho, mujhe nahi pata, tum baat karo usse, ki apna aisa rawaiya band kare woh warna seedha mujhse maar khayega...' a mad purvi sat with her arms crossed as kavin lovingly put his arm around her and said, 'uski koi zaroorat padegi nahi, par tumhe kabhi kisine yeh bataya hai kit um gusse mein kitni cute lagti ho?' purvi gave him a death stare, as kavin in a pretend stare, raised his hands in surrender, that made purvi chuckle and kavin smile.
'i love you, kavin.' She said with a loving gaze falling on him.
'and i love you more.' He said as he smiled at her.

'yaar dushyant, tereko job hi daure pad rahe haina, meri samajh ke bahar hain, par ek baat kan kholkar sun le, tu bahaut hurt kar raha hai ishita ko, so just drop this already!' threatened kavin to dushyant outside the college, after their classes were over.
'yaar main..'
'shut up yaar dush, enough is enough already. Whatever it is, maturely have a conversation with ishita and put an end to this.' Commanded kavin as he left and dushyant sighed in helplessness.

Ishita was in her room, watching '27 dresses', even though deep down she was convinced that there's no way her life is changing from a tragedy to anything else she found comfort in rom-coms and their escapism, atleast she didn't have to think about her life for some time. Suddenly, she was interrupted by the doorbell, knowing very well, her mother would not get up because of her hangover, she went ahead to open the door. But boy did the person on the other side of the door bought a smile on her face,
'dushyant? Tum kya kar rahe ho yahan? And how do you..'
'purvi se liya tha...i really need to talk to you...' said dushyant with guilt very evidently clear in his voice and his eyes.
'ok,uh, come on in..' said ishita as she let him in, for both of them to sit down, as he grabbed both of her hands and said,
'there's something you should know...' said dushyant, as ishita tried to understand what was going on.
