A New Beginning

Chapter 1- Because of the Pudding

Katie's POV

It's been a couple months since my Amnesia, but I remember more now. Jake and I are dating again, he's been such a great boyfriend...I think I love him. I don't know though...My heart still aches for Carl, but I know he's no good.

Still...I love him.

Pulling me out of my thoughts Daryl came rushing up,

"They took er! They took Beth!" He yelled catching his breath. The group stood to their feet and rushed towards Daryl,

"Who took Beth?" Maggie asked worriedly.

"I don't know! There was a black car and they just took er!" Daryl yelled once more. My heart dropped. My best friend is out there somewhere, with some crazy person.

"We have to find her Daryl, she's my best friend. Maggie's sister!" I stated, nodding Rick turned to the group. "Alright here's how it's going to go, Maggie, Glenn, Daryl, and I will go looking for her. We'll be back in five hours, within that five hours Carol will be in charge. Any questions?" Rick proclaimed, the group stayed quite.

"Good." Rick said, "let's go!"

Rick, Daryl, Maggie, and Glenn left leaving us behind.

God I hope Beth comes home safe, I don't know what I'd do if she got hurt.

"Hope your friend gets home safe" Said a male voice, turning around I seen Eugieen.

"Thanks" I nodded, walking over to Carol I watched Judith sleep. Gosh she's so cute, I wish I had a little sister. Sitting next to Carol I sighed, "Do you ever think we'll find a permanent home? Where we're all safe?"

(This is in the church)

"I don't know, I hope." Carol replied. Just as silence settled in Judith bagan to cry, "I'll get her" I stated walking over to her. Picking her up I bounced her on my hip, "Is someone getting fussy? Is my baby getting fussy? Does my baby wanna play, does she want to play? Yes she does, yes she does!" I said in a baby voice making Judith giggle and laugh.

"You're really good with kids." Carl said from behind,

"Thanks.." I said bluntly.

I played with Judith until she got hungry, then I put her down for a nap. Looking around I seen Jake sleeping in a pew, walking over I heard his light snores. Awe, he's so adoreable sleeping!

Five and a half hours passed and I was beginning to think the worst, until they barged in. I jumped up in hopes that my  best friend had returned. Before I could ask the answer was delivered,

"We didn't find her." Maggie dejectively said.

Nodding I went to my sleeping area and fell asleep.

Katie's POV

I woke up this morning without Daryl or Carol around, "Where's Daryl and Carol, Rick?"

Turning around Rick faced me, "I don't know." He simply stated,

What the fuck?

I quickly sat up instantly freaking out, "How the fuck do ye not know!? Yer the leader asshole!" I yelled in rage.

"Because they left while we were sleeping! I don't know, but they're gone!" Rick challenged.

It's been two days, two fucking days! Still they haven't come back.

What if they're dead!

What if something bad happened?

"Everyone we're going to get more food, so I'm gonna need Michonne, Jake, Katie, Abrahm, Glenn, and Rosita. The rest of you stay here and wait for Daryl and Carol." Rick stated turning away, we piled into our cars and rode to town. We stopped at a small grocery store and got out of our cars, walking in we checked for walkers,

"All clear" Michonne said putting away her katana. We got a bag out and started putting food in, thankfully the grocery store had women things if ye know what I mean. I grabbed a few pad packets off the shelf, while doing so Jake walked over.

"Wht are ye doing over here?" I asked raising an eyebrow, Jake grabbed a box from the opposite shelf smiling cheekily. "Maybe we could have some fun?" He said holding up the box, realization washing over me I tensed up remembering the prison.

"I'm not having sex with you." I stated, chuckling Jake shook his head.

"Water balloons Katie, I meant water balloons."

Rolling my eyes I smiled, "Sure you did Jake."

Walking to the back I searched for something sweet, looking to the back shelf I found some canned pudding. It was just like the one Carl and I ate on the rooftop of the house while Rick was knocked out, reaching for the pudding I failed.

"Need some help?" Jake asked coming from behind, smiling I nodded. Jake stretched up on his tippy-toes and grabbed the pudding, but when he grabbed the pudding the shelf broke and came crashing down. Behind the shelf was a door with walkers inside, and every single walker came out. Trying to find Jake within the mess I heard a scream, a scream that was just a few feet away. A scream of being bitten by a walker, turning my head I seen Jake being eaten alive. Tears brimmed in my eyes,

"JAKE!" I screamed stepping back. Walkers came tumbling out and towards me, I was instantly pulled away from the scene by Michonne.

We ran out of the grocery store and into our cars,

"Where's Jake?" Rick asked.

"W-walkers g-got h-him." I cried, turning to the road Rick sighed.

Once we got to the church I stared out into the sky, "I'm sorry about Jake, Katie." Glenn said apoligitically. Nodding I slumbed out of the car letting more tears slip from my eyes, I can't believe I lost Jake. He took the pain away when Carl and I broke up, and now that pain is back. Walking into the church I seen a familar face, one I haven't seen in two days.

"Katie!" Shouted Daryl running towards me, pulling me into a hug he smiled. Although Daryls back, I am still sad about Jake.

"What's wrong Katie?" Daryl implied,

"Jakes dead. The walkers killed him." I cried into his shoulder.

"I'm so sorry Katie" Daryl said hugging me tighter. "But hey, we know where Beth is now." Smiling a little I nodded, then suddenly I fell into a deep sleep.

So theres chapter one! I hoped you liked it, I'm sorry I didn't have it up earlier I had so much to do and then I got sick but it's all good! So chapter two I will hopefully get out tomorrow unless school work is piled up af. Ugh I hate school Love you guys
