"Ugh, how can someone be so stubborn?", she angrily muttered. "Who, sweetie?", her mother called from the kitchen. Damn, she's got sharp ears. "No one important, Mom!", she reassured her concerned mom. "Oh, by the way," her mother spoke again, her voice chorused by clanking dishes, "we're going to go meet the neighbours tomorrow!" Masumi's heart sunk. There's that awful luck again, she thought to herself. "Not interested.", she stated, walking up to her room.

She switched on the light and opened the window to let the cool breeze in. On opening the window, she saw him. Rude-ass boy. He was on his bed tossing a volleyball in the air. For a second, he glanced towards his own window and saw her. Greedy girl. He walked up to his own window, showed her his middle finger, and walked back to his bed and continued tossing. Now, Masumi being the girl she is, she wanted to have the last word. Rage bubbled inside of her. Oh, just you wait, rude-ass. I will have my revenge.

I woke up to my alarm clock beeping. Quickly silencing it, I got ready for volleyball practice. I opened the curtains and just a second later, greedy girl's curtains also opened. I stuck my tongue out and her. She responded with a smile. What the fuck. I shrugged it off and made my way downstairs and out of the house.

I started walking towards school and a bit later, she caught up to me. "So you're in the volleyball club.", she nodded, and I nodded back. "You're in the dance club.", I said and her eyes widened. "I knew you were stalking me! How did you know that?", she yelled. Oh crap, maybe I shouldn't have said that. I managed to smoothly save the conversation. "Your loud ass can be heard all the way in the volleyball court. Tone down, greedy." Score. Nice kill, Kageyama. "Haha, that was a good one," she laughed. What is wrong with her? She was yelling her ass off at me yesterday and today she's all smiles. I bet she's planning something.

"We should exchange numbers.", she says, out of nowhere. "Huh?", I'm so taken-aback at this. It's the last thing I expected her to say. "'Coz like, we're neighbours and all," she shrugged. "So what if we're neighbours?", I looked at her suspiciously. "Every time I need to scream at you, at least I can scream through text instead of waking up the entire neighbourhood." Okay, I think she's back to normal. We exchanged numbers, and reached school. "See you later, rude-ass.", she said, before opening the door to the dance room. "Bye, greedy.", I manage to say before she disappeared.
