XVII - Continues

We stand on opposite sides of the table, armed with a pillow each, and panting. "Do we call this a tie?", I ask, exhausted. "No way, I'm going to beat you!" he charges at me with a pillow and starts hitting me repeatedly. "Okay, okay, stop! I give up!" I finally surrender. After this, we both fall onto the couch. "Good game," I say, putting my arm out for a handshake. He takes it, shaking it. After we've both caught our breaths, I finally speak. "Are you sleepy?" I ask. He shakes his head, "After a fight like that? Hell no." Yeah, makes sense. "Alright, do you wanna watch a movie or something?" I ask, and after he nods, start browsing for something to watch.

We're about half an hour into the movie. I glance over at Mitsuhara, and I can see her eyelids drooping. "We can switch it off if you're tired," I say, to which she jolts awake, shaking her head furiously. "I'm awake! I'm awake! I... promise...", she yawns, hugging a cushion. I shrug and continue to watch. Not even two minutes later, I feel a weight on my shoulder. She's fallen asleep. I switch off the TV, and shift slowly, carefully letting her head fall on the couch instead.

Should I let her sleep on the couch, or should I try to put her on the bed? Wait... Where am I going to sleep? I heard her telling her mom I would sleep in the guest room but I don't know where that is. I don't want to wake anyone up either. I finally decide to sleep on her bed, while she sleeps on the couch. I make myself comfortable, pulling the covers over myself, and fall asleep.

I end up waking up in the middle of the night. My neck now has a searing pain; I fell asleep in a weird position. Oh, I fell asleep... I look around my room to find Kageyama sleeping on my bed. I want to sleep on the bed too, but he's sleeping there. I slowly get up, massaging the back of my neck, and trudge towards the guest room where rude-ass was supposed to sleep.

Masumi's mother wakes up to the alarm clock. She walks to her daughter's room to wake her up, but is met with a surprise on opening the door. Kageyama Tobio is fast asleep where Masumi is supposed to be. She peeps into the guest room, where Masumi is sleeping. "Switching the positions for you~", she sings, chuckling, and quietly goes back downstairs.
