At a wedding

Chapter 3

Seokjin has been flirting with a lot of ladies at this party. While he has managed to charm all of the ladies, none have caught his attention. He spots Yoongi and Sunhee sitting together and chatting happily.

'I knew they could work it out if they talked it out.' He makes his way towards them. "You both worked it out. I'm really happy." He says when he is close enough to them.

They both look at him, uncomfortably. Seokjin reads the table, quickly. He takes a seat. "What's going on?"

"Hyung, we'll talk about it later." Yoongi tells him, softly.

Seokjin huffs in frustration. "You both are not back together?"

They shake their heads, reluctantly.

"Yoongi asked me to enjoy this party with him before we part ways for real." Sunhee tells him the truth.

Yoongi avoids Seokjin's eyes. Seokjin knows this must be hurting Yoongi but he also knows that Yoongi has to do what he has to. Seokjin knows he will be there for Yoongi, to pick up the pieces when this is over.

"I'm going to be honest. All you both need to work on is communication. All your problems will solve by themselves if you communicate." He tells them.

"Yoongi, you get completely absorbed while working on music which is a good quality but sometimes you completely disregard everything else around you. Sunhee has been patient with you. You should have realized this sooner."

"Hyung..."

"I'm not done. Don't interrupt me." He tells him, seriously.

Yoongi nods for him to go on.

"Sunhee, you're just at fault as he is." He continues.

"Me?? What did I do?" She asks in confusion.

"It's not exactly what you did but what you didn't do. You started shutting down, Sunhee. If you didn't like something, why didn't you tell him? Why did you wait till it got really uncomfortable for you? If you had told Yoongi, he would have tried to work on it. He loves you a lot and you love him a lot. The last few months have been really hard on both of you. If there's a way to talk it out and work it out, you should do it. What you both have is good. You both should talk about real things instead of playing pretend."

"It's not that easy, Oppa."

"No relationship is easy. If you want it to work then you have to work for it. Of course, you both know this better than me." Seokjin tells them.

He gets up from his seat. "I'll be going now. Yoongi call me when you decide to leave the party."

Yoongi just nods at his hyung. Seokjin pats his shoulder and gives Sunhee a sad smile and walks away.

Yoongi and Sunhee look at each other awkwardly. "Don't let Hyung's words bother you."

"But what he said is true." She tells him,

"Please if Jin hyung was really so good at understanding relationships, he'd know he's been in love with Kara all his life."

Sunhee giggles. "Kara is just as clueless"

"See! We shouldn't take his words seriously."

Even though they break the awkwardness, in the back of their heads, Seokjin's words ring loud.

Seokjin looks around and spots most of his friends at one table. He notices Kara is not there. He spots her at the bar and smiles as he gets an idea. He walks towards her and stands next to her seat at the bar. "Annyeonghaseyo! You look very beautiful today."

She looks at him, confused. "Gomawoyo?"

"I'm Seokjin. Kim Seokjin." He holds his hand out for a handshake.

She smiles back when realization hits her. She shakes his hand. "I'm Kara. Choi Kara."

"What is a pretty lady like you doing alone?"

"Conspiring." She whispers in his ear.

"We seem to be in the same boat." He smirks.

"Must be a best friend thing." She smirks.

"Ahhh! Why do you have to ruin it? It was going fine."

"Because I need my bestie not some pretend flirting." She pouts at him.

"What happened, my baby?" He asks with concern.

"Am I not looking good today, Jinnie?"

"What?! Why would you ask that? You look hot!"

"So this guy was flirting with Eunha and he didn't even notice I was next to her. Not that I wanted him to flirt with me but he didn't even look my way."

"That's mean! Don't worry, there will never be a day when I don't notice you."

She smiles happily. "That's why you are my number 1!"

There are some loud cheers, they look around to figure out what the fuss is about. The married couple just walked into the party and everyone in the party cheers for them.

Kara and Seokjin shake their heads.

She sighs, wistfully. "I don't like them but I would want all this someday. Marriage and stuff."

"I know. And you will have all that someday." He boops her nose with his index finger.

She kisses him on cheek. "Thanks for always being there."

"How many drinks have you had till now?" He eyes her, suspiciously.
