❝ ONE YEAR YOUVE
BEEN GONE ANOTHER
YEAR IVE BEEN LOST ❞....
T O D A Y marks the one year since Niklaus Mikaelson has been dead. One of the best dads that have ever lived. He was a father to Hope and Serenity Mikaelson.
Both girls had different ways of handling the death of their father. Hope cried and hung out with her sister for comfort for weeks. They would hang out watch movies, share memories of their dad, and play games. Anyway to distract Hope from the fact their father is dead.
While Serenity helped Hope with her grieving, she didn't have much time to grieve herself. She would dabble in psychotropic herbs. A special herb she got from a friend who felt bad for her. She would inhale the vapor every to me she felt the need to talk to her dad and that was often. So often that she ended up getting addicted to the herb and couldn't stop. It got so bad that she couldn't go a day without having the herb. No one noticed, but Penelope Park. She saw what was happening to her friend and helped her get off the hallucinogenic drug. A week of withdrawal and she was able to keep face. No one knew what was happening to her so they assume she was taking the death of her father well. But she wasn't and she still isn't.
"Hey Serenity!" Hope called out to her sister, who was walking to class. Serenity turned and smiled at her younger sister.
"Hey Hope! What's up?" She asked smiling at the auburn hair beauty.
"Um you know today is the anniversary of dad's death, I was wondering if you'd want to hand out. Tonight like we always do." Hope asked with a hopeful smile. Truth is Serenity didn't want to think about this today. She wanted to go through out the day like it was normal, but she knew Hope needed this.
Serenity put on a fake smile and nodded, "Sure Hope! I'll see you tonight." Hope smiled and left to class. Leaving a saddened Serenity.
"What's got your down?" Kai asked from behind Serenity. Making Serenity turn and smile at the heretic. They hadn't spoke since Los Angelos and Serenity was really vulnerable. And she hated being vulnerable. You can say that she's like her dad in that way. Hates having weakness, believing that love is a weakness she can't afford, but was she kidding? She's a Bennett she can't help but to love. But loving Kai would set her up for disappointment.
"Nothing really Malachai." She shrugged. "I was just reading a really sad book. No happy ending. What are you doing here? I was sure Caroline would kick you out."
"Actually she offered me a teaching position. And it's mr. Parker to you." He corrected playfully.
Serenity chuckled at the teacher, "Well Mr. Parker, I have to get to class. Maybe I'll see you there." She said as she walked off. Kai watched as the teen walked by. His thoughts swirling with so many thoughts of her.
