Maya POV
So Cory came in my room it took me by the risk, I could tell he used force because my risk turned red I nearly almost started crying because his grip was so tight. We walked into the living room, he finally loosened his grip
"Go sit on that couch"
"But si-"
"Maya Hart I wouldn't dare question me!"
Maya walked over to the couch and sits down still
"Maya you had us worried sick about you, you didn't answer any of our calls! I called you nine times and you didn't answer why is that where were you at! you surely weren't at the library studying!"
Cory waited for Maya too respond
I was scared to tell Cory I knew he could hurt me I knew that he could beat me I didn't want to make him mad I didn't want to get hit anymore.
"Maya!?"
"I-I-I" Maya said stuttering "Was at chubbies with Lucas"
"You could have asked! do you know what could have happened to you? what if you were taken? snatched? even harassed?"
I started to get mad because Cory was saying the what if that happened, what if this happened, so I responded back too him what I thought, and I did not care what the consequences were going to be. We could have a screaming match for all I care.
Maya got up
"What if? what the hell mr.matthews, the if and the what ifs didn't happen! im safe! isn't that what matter!"
"Let's get this straight you don't come and my house cursing at me I didn't have to adopt you and let's get the second thing straight, yes you being safe does matter but the stunt you pulled Maya was not cool not cool at all, you could have asked gave us a heads up even a warning!"
"Okay and? I didn't want to ask, I didn't want to give a warning or a heads up"
"Okay, so we do a lot of things we don't want to do i have done things I didn't want to do but I knew it was the right thing to do!"
"I don't care!"
"You dont care? well maybe you will care about this! i never wanted to adopt you i should of left you in the adopting center, your birth parents didn't want you and i obviously see why!"
Topanga ran into too the room.
"Well maybe you should have" maya said as she was trying to hold back tears"
Maya walked out the house and slammed the door she sat on the porch and started to cry
