Chapter 7

*Nicholas's POV*

I left with my sister since she was always there for me. I knew that her relationship with my mom was weird. My mom has a weird obsession with keeping all her children home. She thinks we will all live there forever. By 18, Noemi already had plans to leave. She was friends with a couple of people from her high school and as soon as she graduated college, they were going to move in together. It took a whole year but Noemi finally did it. Noemi finally left. I wasn't sure how to think about this personally. I knew that I wouldn't see my sister as much since she would be moving to Toronto. I always wanted to go to Toronto. I always wanted a change of the Montreal air.

"Tell Jackie, Cody and Zander that I love them ok?" Noemi coughs out

"Ok."

"And I love you too. I will miss you ok?"

"Ok." I said shrugging my shoulders. I didn't wanna be all lovey-dovey in front of Alice. I didn't want her to think I was a suck up. I've always had small feelings for Alice. She was different from any other girls I've dated. I try to get over her but it hasn't worked for years. I've dating almost every girl in our grade and I still can't get my mind off her. I just can't be with her. I would be too afraid to hurt her and ruin the friendship we have. Plus it could ruin the friendship I have with Delilah if I ever hurt Alice. It just wasn't worth the risk.

"Come here you big wimp" She says wrapping her arms around me and i do the same. I hear a giggle from Delilah and I let go of Noemi's embrace.

"Shaddup you" I say pointing at Delilah

"Nah you shaddup Nickdeflames" I gasp. How did she know? That was always my secret youtube name. I was a youtuber with only over 500 000 subscribers. I hid it from Alice and Delilah because I didn't think they were into gaming. It was a little secret I kept from them. The only one i kept.

"How bout you don't talk about that k?" I say crossing my arms

"Mhm." I hear the girls say unison again and laugh.

*Time skippidooo to like magical land or something*

"Where are we going anyways?" Alice says

"The train station. I need to get out of this place" Noemi says back

"I better call my mum then." I chuckle a bit since Delilah isn't british but calls her mom, mum.
I hear her talking on the phone while i watch a big blue and grey building with a Via Rail sign on the front of it pop in to my sight. I sigh knowing I will have to say goodbye to my sister and go back home to deal with my mother. The bus stops and Delilah throws her blue iphone 5c in her tie dyed vans school bag. We walk off the bus and into the train station.

"Jeez I"m really low, Wanna grab some tim hortons?" My type 1 diabetic sister says

"Yea sure. Watch yourself now!"

"Mhm I will. Don't you worry bout me kiddo" she said giving me a nuggy.

I run my fingers through my hair again till we reach the tim hortons. The store looks closed and a glass gate surrounds the store. I look on the front to see a blue paper that says "Due to the hospitalization of one of our clients, our store will be temporally closed. Thank you for your cooperation, sighed Alaina the head manager"

"Hey Noemi, The store is closed!" I wait for an answer still reading the paper but hear nothing

"Noemi?" I say again

I turn around to see Delilah and Alice struggling to keep Noemi on her feet but it's no use. She must have fainted from low blood sugar.

"We have to get her to a hospital quick. She could die if we don't give her sugar!" I yell

"Uh Uh Um Uh" Is all I here from Delilah while holding her cell phone in her hands.

"Gimme that you nut head" Alice says taking the cellphone out of her hands and throwing Noemi's pale body at me. I catch her watching her get more and more pale. My hard was beating harder and harder while I hear Alice on the phone. I've never seen my sister like this and it was frighting handling this all by ourselves. After I hear Alice say, "Yes, she's type 1 diabetic" I let a single tear roll down my eye. I feel it go down my cheek and fall onto my black and white striped shirt. I rub it off leaving a little wet trail on my shirt.

"Thank you" I hear Alice say. I look at Noemi's face. She looks so sad with her white face. I never thought my older sister, the makeup freak, music addicted sister would look so, scared. It was she was almost whispering, "Help me. Please" To me. The only thing we can do now is wait. Wait till they show up and change my sister to the white ghost to the red checked freckled freak. To the smiley girl she was. I hear a siren just in time before I burst out in tears. Holding my sister bridal style, I run over to the front of the station where the doors fly open and paramedics roll in with a stretcher. They come close to me and I don't say anything. I don't make eye contact, I just set my sister on the stretcher and press the back of my hand on her cheek while they roll her in the ambulance. I get in the back with Alice on my side and a shocked Delilah across from us. We watch as a paramedic prepares a needle for her. The ambulance starts moving as I hear the familiar siren go off once again. The needle was 2 inches long with a white cloudy liquid inside. I try to turn away at the sight of it but I can't. I'm frozen. I watch as the needle digs into her black jeans and vanishes. I grab her red nail painted hand and hold it close. I feel a lump in my throat as the paramedic pushes the whit cloudy solution inside Noemi's leg. I feel water evolving in my eyes, as the paramedic pulls the needle out. I feel tears fall down my cheeks once again and on to my shirt. I see my vision getting foggier as the tears picked up. I see my sister open her eyes slowly. I see her face get red again. I see her alive.
