Woah I'm tired but whatever

Chapter 11

*Penny's POV*

After we met Alice, Delilah and Nicholas, we talked till midnight. I really did enjoy their company. I haven't laughed like this in a while. Eventually Alice, Delilah and Nicholas went back to Alice's house to sleepover leaving their numbers with me and Noemi was going to be released in the morning. Jerome and Mat checked on me from time to time during the night but eventually went back to Mitch's condo at around 2 am. Mitch stayed with me during the night by asking for a cot and pulling it beside me. It's now 6 am and I may be released today. I slid out of Mitch's embrace to the bathroom. I go pee and check myself out in the mirror. I shiver at the sight of my face and try to shake it out of my mind. I walk out of the bathroom to see Noemi sitting on her bed with the curtain open. I walk over to say hi.

"Hey Noemi, How you feeling?"

"Fine actually. Can't wait to get outta here"

"Same. I just want to get out of this smelly hospital."

"Arg tell me about it! It smells like old people that sprayed stale muffin perfume on them"

We both start laughing like crazy causing Mitch to get up and walk over to us. He rubs my shoulder slightly and I look up at him to see his messy bed head. I giggle and he smiles.

"Good morning bed head" I giggle

"Good morning giggler" He says

"Wait I stopped giggli-" I start but can't finish because Mitch starts tickling my hips. I start dying of laughter in till he hits my sensitive nerve spot and I fall off the bed and knock over the curtain between Noemi and I.

"Oops." Mitch says

We all laugh and I walk back causally to my bed and call for the nurse to come in to fix it. A nurse come a few minutes later with two trays. Each had a glass of orange juice, a muffin and a bowl of Rice Krispies. She puts the trays down and fixes up the curtain. I take a sip of orange juice and take the bottom part of the muffin. I push the bow of cereal over to Mitch as he gobbles it down. The nurse waits for Noemi to finish her breakfast, get changed out of her night gown and exports her out of the room. I wave goodbye and she waves back. Then they both walk out the door.

"Penny what are you wearing?" Mitch laughs.

"I was forced to change into a night gown last night before we went to sleep and I was cold. I wanted my flannel ok?" I say wearing my blue flannel over the awkward green colour night gown and nibbling on the top part of the muffin.

"Mhm I see"

Then a nurse walks in and explains it's time for a few tests. I get up and grab ahold of Mitch's hand. We walk out of the room down the long hallway once again. Instead of going left this time though, we go right. We walk for a bit till we enter a room painted a deep yellow. It' a bigger room then my hospital room and it filled with different machines. The nurse bring me over to one that scans my whole body. It was a little room like a shower. The nurse shows me to a changing room and gives me a towel. I change out of my clothes and walk out in a towel. I walk into the room throwing my towel off quick so nobody see's anything hopefully. I shut the door and stand in the middle where a circle is printed on the floor. I watch as 3 claws pull out of the wall and start the surround me. I scream hating the sensation.

"Stop it!" I scream

"Stop Please!"

Then the claws stop moving and the nurse opens the door with a towel in her hands. She wraps it around me and starts to rub my back. Mitch approaches me and gives me a big hug. I hold on to his embrace wishing I could stay there forever.

"This is important. Penny I'll stay right outside the door, talk to you and you can shut your eyes. This will help make you feel better" Mitch whispers in my ear. I nod as he lets go of me and walks over to the machine once again. I walk in using the same towel method as before. I shut my eyes and listen to Mitch talk to me. I take deep breaths and try to focus on Mitch's words.

"You'll be alright Penny. I'm right here. Take a deep breath. Hold on, it will be over before you know it."

I hear the claws come out again and I hear them rotate around me. I don't move an inch as I inhale and exhale very loudly. I keep my eyes shut then it stops. No more noise. I open my eyes to se the nurse again with the towel. I wrap myself in it, and go to the changing room and change back in my night gown and flannel. I walk out and they have my scans ready.

"Now Miss Trammel this is the last test you will be taking. There was no need for any surgery because we have found the problem and it is treatable" The doctor says in front of a screen that has many shots of my skeleton, muscles and heat blobs (that help them see where there is inflammation.)

"Oh what is the problem?" I say while I feel Mitch standing behind me.

"Well yes there was some nerve damage but not too harsh. We are able to fix it with some time and these pills" He says handing me a white bottle with an orange label

"Take one at night and two in the morning for 14 days. After the 14 days, we will see you again to check on you. So far this is the only cause for pain in your hip and this is the only way to help it. Now along with the pills, stay off that hip of yours. Try your best anyway. Buy crutches to get the weight off your hip. If you do this, you will see great improvement. If not, you can end up getting a replacement hip or even worse." I nod my head in agreement of everything

"Now you are released but have a scheduled appointment here in room F104 in 7 days and in 14 days at 2 pm. You can't miss it"

"I'm going home?"

"Yes dear"

I run out of the room but get stopped when Mitch throws me over his shoulders so my feet dangle on his chest and my hair flies upside-down.

"You heard him. No pressure on that hip" He says

"Mhm. You are just doing this to check out my butt mister" I say crossing my arms. He laughs and pretends to drop me but doesn't let go. We walk in to the hospital room and I start to pack up some things (not that i have much to pack). I put on my white converse that I threw off last night and pack my daisy print scrunchy that I was wearing on my whist and my white blanket from Jerome. My suitcase and Cheyenne went back to Mitch's Condo with Jerome and Mat.

"All ready!" I say while texting Alice, Delilah and Nicholas I was being released.

"Lezz go girl!" He shouts as we walk out of the room. We go to the end of the hallway where a little clear window sits at the end to the left. I walk in front of it, and a lady stands in it.

"Penny Trammel" I say into the holes in the window.

"Released" she says while sticking her arm in a little slot cut out of the bottom of the window and cutting off my hospital bracelet. It falls on the floor and I pick it up. I wake goodbye and walk out the door.

*Time skipoo to Mitch's condo*

We walk in the door and I throw my stuff on the white couches. I tuck my hospital bracelet into my sock for safe keeping and walk back to see Mitch.
