The doorknob from the inside shifted downward, the door opening.

Kageyama's hair peeked inside the room followed by his face. He stared at Hinata who stood like a deer in headlights, staring at Kageyama.

The younger male stepped into the classroom fully. He walked over to Hinata, staring down at him. The two boy's eye contact was silent. Awkward. Very awkward. His eyes drifted down Hinata's body, laying on the rim of his shirt.

Lifting his hand up, he gripped onto the rim of Hinata's shirt and lifted it slightly high, giving him a better view.

"Kageyama what the hell!" Hinata barked, his face painted with a bright red. He swatted Kageyama's hand away, forcing in accidentally into his gut. Hinata winced at the small blow to his gut. Kageyama noticed the reaction.

"What's with all the damn blood?" He hissed, a worried look covered his eyes while the tone of his voice sounded angry.

Hinata's glare turned towards the ground as Kageyama dropped his bag beside him. A hand came into Hinata's view once again, gripping onto the rim of his shirt. He went to pull it back down but was to late.

Kageyama's eyes were wide as he stared down at the older male's torso. The thick red blood and it's patches now worse then when  Hinata had first gotten in the room. More bruises were exposed by the angle Kageyama had held the boy's shirt.

Letting out a shaky breath, the boy stared back up at the smaller male.

"Hinata."

His eyes stayed glued to the floor, not wanting to make eye contact. Kageyama took the thumb of his other hand and placed it under Hinata's chin. He tilted his head up, making the boy look at him.

A tear rolled down the boy's cheek. Not Hinata's, but Kageyama's. This took Hinata by surprise, why the hell is he crying?

"What are they from."

Hinata stayed silent.

"Shōyō."

A chill rolled down his spine at the sound of his first name. He'd never heard it come out of the larger male's mouth nor in such a serious tone like that. He let out a deep exhale.

"It was just a 'fight'"

"Just a damn fight? Just a fight? Look at these damn bruises and cuts, Hinata! Don't say it like it's such a normal thing!"

Hinata bit his lip, eyes clouding up slightly. His eyes turned towards the ground once again as he tried to avoid Kageyama's gaze.

Suddenly, a white cloth appeared in his vision followed by a sudden weight loss. Kageyama had taken off his shirt. Hinata's eyes grew wider as he tried to cover up his own chest in an awkward motion. Kageyama reached into his pocket, grabbing a bandage. He carefully wrapped Hinata's body up with the bandage, making sure it wasn't too tight.

Hinata just sat there slightly stunned. He didn't expect this to happen. As Kageyama finished wrapping his wounds he guided Hinata to sit down, doing the same next to him. The room was silent for a while.

"So.." Hinata started, trying to end the awkwardness between the two.

"Who did it."

Silence. Hinata stared into his lap, scratching the side of his thumb with his index finger. As he dug into his flesh he drew blood, the  warm red liquid dripping down his wrist. The familiar larger hand drifted into Hinata's lap, gripping the bleeding hand with his own.

"Don't do that."

Hinata sighed and rested his head on Kageyama's shoulder, his cheek being slightly squished. Should he really tell Kageyama what happened? He did help him after all. The vivid image of his mother appeared in his mind once again, he squeezed Kageyama's thumb as he squeezed his eyes shut. Kageyama's head turned towards Hinata, confused. He squeezed the smaller boys hand back.

"You okay?"

Hinata shook his head no as he opened his eyes back up, he stared into the empty classroom with tired eyes.

"Wanna talk about it or?"

He didn't know what side of Kageyama this was, but he kind of liked it. As much as he did want to talk about it, about what happened last night, he couldn't do it. He thought it was for the safety of the boy and his younger sister.

"Not right now..." Hinata mumbled. He closed his eyes once again as his mind drifted to sleep.

A shuffling noise occurred in the room, waking the older boy up. His eyes opened up to meet a dark room. They widened as he began to panic. Where the hell was he? It was too dark to see anything at the time. Patting around himself, it was soft like a pillow.

As he shuffled to the left, trying to stand up,  he met the edge of the 'pillow'. A loud thud sounded as he fell, smacking his head on something sharp. He let out a small yelping, holding the side of his head with his hand. The other hand rested on the back of his head as he curled into a ball, tears began pouring out of his eyes. His exhaustion mixing with the pain caused an overwhelming emotion and confusion.

The door flew open with a slam, light flooding into the room. A male rushed into the room and ran over to Hinata, sitting beside him.

"Shh.... Calm down, it's okay"

The small boy whined, scooting away. He couldn't tell if the warm liquid on his hand was tears of blood. The light flicked on, the silhouette of the taller male turning into Kageyama.

He wore a pair of grey sweatpants and no shirt or socks, his hair wet.

He rushed over to Hinata's side,  crouching beside him. He hesitated before wrapping his arms around the crying boy, calming him down slightly. He leaned Hinata into his own lap, cradling the boy.

The crying turned into a small whine. Hinata unconsciously nuzzle his face into the crook if Kageyama's neck, keeping his hand on the side on his head. Kageyama noticed  his hand and gentally removed it, lifting the older boys hair out of the way. The side of his head wasn't bleeding but a good sized bruise had began forming.

"Hinata?"

A small yet weak hum came from boy.

"You okay? What happened?"

"Yeah... I just fell and got confused  that's all..." He mumbled. Kageyama hummed in response. "Where am I?"

"Oh, you're at my house since I kinda forgot your address, plus it was late."

"Oh" Silence. "Wait your house? What time is it"

"It's 24:12 right now, why?"

Hinata began to hyperventilate, the younger boy's eye shooting open.

'Shit' Kageyama thought. He held Hinata's hand as his other hand gentally stroked Hinata's back.

"Hinata? Hinata. Just breath. Breath with me. Ok?" Hinata's head was now curled down, his ear pressed against Kageyama's bare chest.

As his breathing began to calm down, a whisper escaped his lips. Kageyama stared down at him, confused at what the boy had just said. He ran his fingers through the boy's hair as he fell back to sleep.

As Kageyama placed the boy back into the bed and tucked him in, he sat beside him on the opposite side.

"Natsu..?" Kageyama repeated the now sleeping boy.
