(TW: Abuse and Gore)

_______________

I froze in place. Is this a dream?...

I busted through the door to see something I hadn't expected. Blood.. it was everywhere. I blinked twice to reassure myself about what I was looking at.

"No..." I mumbled, my eyes glued to the scene in front of me.

There was a puddle of blood.. no.. puddles- of thick, rose-colored blood.. they all led up to the side of the couch where a figure lied, lifeless. The lights were off, making it hard to see the whole scene but I could tell what had happened. She.. my mother.. was dead. No, not just dead. She had been murdered.

I took a step inside of the house and closed the door, stunned. My hand traveled along the wall, searching for the light switch until it had found its way around a small, cubed shape. I squeezed my eyes closed as I quickly flipped the light on.

Taking a deep breath in, I opened my eyes once again. The blood was everywhere. On the table, on the couch, the carpet, the floor, even on the wall. I wanted to puke.
The thick liquid didn't seem to have dried onto the couch yet, meaning that it was recent. I began to take small steps towards the body, making the face slightly more visible to me. There had been blood dripping from their forehead, onto the tan couch cushions, slowly staining it.

(3rd person POV)

Hinata was to shocked to notice a small tear trickling down his cheek as it made its way to his chin. He stared at the body blankly, trying to figure out if this was a dream or not.
As he tried to figure out the question that had been resting in his head, he heard the cries of a girl from the other room.

"NATSU!" Hinata shrieked internally as he rushed to the area where the noise had come from.
As if Hinata day could get any worse, he noticed the silhouette of a man standing over a child, Natsu. The man had some sort of weapon in hand that shined in the sunlight escape through the blinds.
Without thinking clearly, Hinata sprinted into the room, running faster than he would ever run while racing Kageyama. He shoved the male to the side, causing him to tumble over and fall. He swiftly grabbed the crying Natsu and rushed her into his room, locking the door behind him.

He pulled Natsu into a large hug, not caring if his shirt was stained by his little sisters tears. He held back his tears, he didn't want Natsu to see him crying.
As the two siblings sat in Hinata's room hiding, a loud scream could be heard from the downstairs of their house, Hinata recognized the voice almost instantly.
(A/N : idk if Hinata's house has an upstairs so imma just guess at this point).

"Where the fuck are those brats!" were the words that could be heard, followed by loud footsteps and the sound of slamming doors.
Hinata began to panic, he started searching through his pockets, trying to find his phone. To his luck, his phone wasn't there. It either meant two things, 1. it had fallen out of his pocket while he went to grab Natsu, or 2. it was in his bag.

He took a breath in, then back out. Grabbing his bag, he furiously began searching through it, trying to find his phone. It was no where to be found. Great. This meant he had to go look for it downstairs, it was his only hope at getting help. Although it seemed easy to do, he feared that he would be spotted by the man, or more preferably his father. He realized that he had to do it, not only for himself, but for Natsu.
He turned away from his bag and over at his sister.
