Birds chirped although the sun was nowhere to be seen rose above the hills. It was currently 4:39 in the morning. The constant patter of his bare feet smacking the ground made a small beat, stinging the ginger's feet. He was too panicked to ask Kageyama where his shoes had been put let alone where his phone and bag had been. All he cares about at the moment is saving his younger sister.
Panting, he leaped up the small set of stairs and burst through the door. He stood there, hands on his knees panting. His calves stung like hell but he didn't care.
His eyes darted around the room as he searched for the one person he worried about most at the moment, Nastu. His breath trembled as he couldn't find his younger sibling.
"NATSU!" No response. Darting upstairs, he knew that the house had been way too quiet. His fingers gripped around the handle of the door as it busted open, only to see a sleeping Natsu who was neatly tucked into bed.
Hinata's panicked eyes softened as he released all of the built-up air that had filled his lungs. It seemed as if his feet moved on their own as he walked to the sleeping girl's side.
His balance was soon lost as he crashed down to the floor, pain surging through his bruised kneecaps. A small smile crept onto his face as small tears dripped onto the floor. He let out a sigh of relief before standing back up and kissing his sister's forehead.
The boy exited the younger girl's room before heading towards his own. As quick as the boy opens it he closes it. His body faced the door as his head rested upon the wooden material, eyes facing his feet. Drifting shut, the boy felt in peace for once, another smile drifting upon his lips.
Hinata lifted his head off of the door and turned around only to meet the gaze of a dark silhouette of a man. On instinct, he back up, smacking his elbow against the hard surface. A hand swiftly pressed him against the door, gripping onto his arm. However, the other hand lay against the boy's lips, his head slightly being crushed against the door.
Panicked, his eyes squeezed shut and the muscles in his body tightened. A deep voice was heard in front of him.
"Well hello, Shoyo."
Hinata's muffled screams echoed through the room as his father's grasp on his face got tighter. his hand slowly drifted down towards the boy's neck, not adding too much pressure. A tear rolled down his face, dripping off his chin. The older male laughed, a psychotic smile plastered on his face.
"Worthless piece of shit," he growled, shoving the smaller towards the floor. He squatted down, a large hand continuing to be wrapped around the small throat. "Where the fuck were you."
His grip tightened, two fingers finding their way towards the younger's jugular vein. Hinata's hands flew upward, wrapping his own hands around his fathers.
"Well? Where were ya?!"
Hinata froze from the sudden shout.
"I- with my f-friend" he cried, voice slightly cracking on the last word. His father sighed, leaning his head against his son's own. Their noses were pressed against each other as well as foreheads. It made the younger feel more uncomfortable by the second.
"For now on, you're not allowed to visit your friends, Shoyo. I run this house from now on. Do I make myself clear?" His warm breath being blown on Hinata's face.
The boy stayed silent, not knowing how to answer. Instead he just kept his eye contact with his father, keeping the same disgusted look.
"Do I make myself clear?" He repeated. Hinata managed to nod, his eyes turned down towards his father's arm. Veins popped out of the males arm as well as muscle.
"Good..." He paused, "And if you ever think of calling the police, breaking a rule, or try running away. There's two options. I'll beat you~ or I'll simply just kill your sister. What way would you like to chose hm? In all honesty, I hate that little brat you call a sister but whatever."
His eyes widened, vision begining to blur. A new tear rolled down his cheek, dripping onto the 3 hands. He gained the strength to smirk, his eyes full of rage. Gasping for air, he managed to get enough to speak 6 words.
"You sick son of a bitch..." He choked out, energy finally wearing out. His father's eyes widened, smile growing larger. He let out a manic laugh, body shaking violently. The asshole of a father's grip loosened, giving Hinata the advantage in the situation. He pried his father's hand off of his neck and shoved him backward. Once he regained his own strength he stood, bodyweight mainly leaning against the door. Lifting his own leg, he kicked his father in the face, forcing him to the ground.
He rushed out the door, heading to his sister's room. The door was immediately locked, he began to panic. What was he suppose to do? As his back rest against the door, a noise was heard from downstairs before voices. One was obviously his father, the other one sounding familiar as well. He heard footsteps coming closer and closer to the door though they were to light and quiet to be his fathers. The door vibrated as 3 knocks were heard above him.
