Chapter thirteen: The actual process of planning

Ophi sat on a chair with her arms crossed, she blew the hair that was blocking her face away. She had a tired look on her face and every second passed by, was every moment she was about to pass out on the table.

But she couldn't fall asleep just yet, she needed to focus on the plan. She looked at Capri to see that they were staring at her with concern

"You okay?" Capri whispered to Ophi. Ophi nodded, but even Capri knew that she was definitely not okay.

"Do you want me to ask them if you can sleep? I can tell you what we're gonna be doing if you sleep through it all. Or if you wake up in some other part I can tell you what you missed. Its your choice if you want me to" Capri said.

"A short nap would be nice right now" Ophi said with a tired voice. Capri nodded back and then Ophi closed her eyes and passed out immediately.

Capri's pov

"Hey uh can Ophi sleep? She's very tired here" I asked Artemis.

"Yeah sure, just tell her what she missed if she wakes up at another part of this meeting. Or just tell her what we're doing if she sleeps through it all. Remember, be honest" Artemis answered. I nodded and continued listening in. I let Ophi's head rest on my shoulder throught the meeting.

"We're gonna have to sacrifice someone here in order for this plan to work" Virgo said as he looked up from the map, " We need to form another plan".

"Jesus christ, again?! We've been here, talking about this plan for so long and none of us had any sleep since then." Ari said. The others nodded since they agreed, and so did I.

I was starting to get tired anyway and I was already hallucinating so Ameathon looked at Artemis and then the two both nodded back.

Everyone got out of their seats and left the room.. I carried Ophi on my back and closed the door behind me. They then led us to different rooms to where we can sleep. Taurus, Aqua, Gemi, and Virgo all went into their room since they were staying with each other. Saggi, Leo, Cancer, and Libby stayed in another room. And me, Ophi, Scorpio, and Pisces stayed with each other.

They asked us if we had any questions and told us to ask them if we needed anything or if something was wrong. Of course, we weren't questioning them at all so they left our rooms and we rested. There was a bunk bed with a couch beside it as well. 

It was getting harder to carry Ophi so I put her at the bottom bunk bed and climbed on the top bed. I left Scorpio and Pisces to talk about where they would sleep and slept.

No one's pov

"So uh, where do you wanna sleep?" Scorpio asked Pisces, they couldn't conversate for long since they were both so tired so there was really no time for making fancy decisions now.

"I think I'll just sleep on the floor, to tired to really go anywhere, plus I'm literally standing on it right now so yeah" Pisces responded tiredly. Fair enough Scorpio said in their mind, they wanted to sleep on the floor but they were to tired to even argue so Scorpio nodded and went to the couch while Pisces sat down. They didn't really think of turning the light off since they were to tired so after a while when they were asleep, Helen turned the light off.

While everyone else was asleep, the three were planning, but of course, there's always that person always awake at night when everyone is sleeping. And that person was Virgo.

He tossed back and fourth on his separate bed, unable to find a right and comfortable position. He tried closing his eyes but it never worked, all he thought about was what was happening with his little brother.

His brother

His brother was young and fearless, though very fragile and weak, but that never stopped him from doing the things his heart desired to do. Creative mind for a six year old, but his age never stopped him either.  

Virgo just sighed and went to the door. He tried to open it but it was hard and he didn't want to deal with it. He tried unlocking the door but it was locked tightly. He tried many more times but the door never budged.

"It's a waste of time, just go to sleep" Gemi said to Virgo, he turned around to see Gemi laying down on their side with their head resting at the palm of their hand.

"I can't sleep" Virgo replied.

"I'll tell you how" Gemi said.

"I doubt that it would work though" Virgo said.

"Of course you do, now listen to me" Gemi said as they rolled their eyes. Virgo sighed and rolled his eyes as well.

"Alright fine, jeez" Virgo said.

"Just lay your head down and close your eyes, that's really all you have to do in order to sleep" Gemi said to Virgo, which in response he rolled his eyes again, obviously not believing the shorter one, but Gemi held up a finger as a sign to let them finish.

"Or you can take melatonin, those still work after like, I don't know like, maybe more than fifty years" Gemi finished. There was a few moments of silence before Virgo responded.

"I'll just waste few hours of sleep" he said, and after he said that he tried to sit on the floor but before he even did, Gemi pushed him to his bed, opened a bottle of something he didn't know what was in it and got something out of it and proceeded to push it in his mouth and closed his mouth with their telekinesis abilities, which of course, he never knew about.

What the hell are they doing?! He thought in his mind.

"Oh don't worry, all you have to do it let it dissolve in your mouth, and no you can't swallow it either" Gemi responded.

Did they literally just read my mind  Virgo thought again. Gemi nodded.

"Of course I did" Gemi said.

Okay, if you can then why did you not tell me? Virgo asked in his mind.

"Because it wasn't the right time yet because, well, we literally just met. And I'm pretty sure you haven't met someone like me so I can't just go "Oh hey by the way, I can read minds so better keep your thoughts good about me or else I'll kick your guts!"" Gemi explained.

Okay cool but like can I talk now? Like verbally. Virgo asked in his mind.

"Hm, did it dissolve in your mouth yet?" Gemi asked, as if he were to say yes then they would let him talk again.

Uh no? Virgo responded. 

"Tell me when it dissolves and I'll let you talk again, deal?" Gemi said. Virgo rolled his eyes with the look saying "Alright fine". Gemi was satisfied with the response and decided to go back to their own bed, but not closing their eyes just yet since they had to hear their thoughts to know when to let him talk again.

It seemed like forever with Gemi trying to wait for it to dissolve, they were starting to close their eyes and feel sleepy but well of course they couldn't. Well they could, but it would make it harder since Virgo would have mentally scream while Gemi was asleep, and Gemi did not like to be woken up so suddenly.

They decided to just eat some sugar that came from earth, surprisingly, it wasn't even expired, yet. And it was also not even ruined so it must've been really good quality since all the low quality food from earth mostly decayed whenever being transported since it still took a long time to transport goods to another planet from here.

You might think that technology might've advanced during the past century but it really hasn't because the organisms in this universe have been corrupted because of everyone in their community and so has their environment. But even with that, our universes technology has advanced, well, just a bit. Even though it has been significantly better since the fall of this world (well, on earth) at the time of the Covid-19, it hasn't been better for the people but we're all working on it and doing our part in this world. You know, try and helping the community be at least better by helping each other out.

But enough of that let's focus on the plan for tomorrow morning shall we?
