"And I think that's everything," Mac said as he lead you back to the main foyer, his hand still on the small of your back.

"Wow, this place seems even bigger than it looks on the outside," You were still looking around in amazement. The more you look around the more seems to appear, almost out of nowhere.

"Yeah," Mac chuckles, "If I'm being honest I think Madam Foster imagined this house. I mean how else could this place be so crazy?" You both laugh at the joke just as a tall, red, one armed imaginary friend walks out of the kitchen.

"Oh, hey Mac!" The imaginary friend's good eye slides from Mac over to you, "I'm sorry, hi. You must be Mac's girlfriend everyone is talking about! I'm Wilt!"

Wilt holds out a hand to you in greeting, just as you're about to take it and explain that you're not Mac's girlfriend, and have in fact just met a few hours earlier Mac interrupts, "Wilt! She's not my girlfriend! This is (Y/N), she brought her little sister to adopt a friend."

Wilt's eyes go wide with surprise, "I'm so sorry, Mac!"

Sighing Mac just shakes his head a little, "It's fine-" He suddenly looks up at Wilt with a bit of alarm, "What do you mean 'everyone's talking about'? What are they saying?"

Looking around awkwardly Wilt scratches the back of his head, "I'm sorry, I uh... Oh! I'm sorry I think I hear Coco calling for me, if that's okay?" Before you or Mac had a chance to say anything Wilt bounded up the stairs and out of view.

A bit confused you look over at Mac who's cheeks seemed to be flushed in anger and was staring in the direction Wilt had gone, "What was that about?"

The sound of your voice seemed to bring Mac's attention back to you, as he looked back at you he seemed to get a bit nervous, "I- I'm not sure..."

Just then Bloo and (Y/S/N) walk out of Mr. Harriman's office, "Where have you guys BEEN? We've been done for HOURS!" Bloo threw his hands in the air as he spoke to accentuate his exasperation.

(Y/S/N) looked at him out of the corner of her eye, "Bloo we've only been waiting  for a few minutes, Mr. Harriman isn't even done getting all the paper work together."

Bloo stares over at the young girl with a look of betrayal, "Well it felt like forever!"

You couldn't help but laugh at the small imaginary friend's antics and look over to Mac who was chuckling as well, "How do you ever get any work done with him around?"

Shrugging a little Mac smiles back at you, "You know, I'm really not sure."

Bloo's jaw drops as he looks between the two of you, "Excuse me, Mac, but I just did your job so you could show your girlfriend around Foster's. You should be thanking me!"

The smile quickly falls from Mac's lips as a flush brightened his cheeks, "It was you! You went around telling everyone (Y/N) is my girlfriend!"

Before Mac and Bloo could start arguing Mr. Harriman hops out of his office, "You must be Miss (Y/N), My name is Mr. Harriman, nice to make your acquaintance. If you would just step into my office we can sign the paperwork then you and Miss (Y/S/N) can take her new imaginary friend home." You nod and motion for (Y/S/N) to follow Mr. Harriman back into his office, leaving Mac and Bloo to bicker in the foyer.

                                                                             ~~~~~~~~~
About twenty minutes later after all the paperwork was finished Harriman escorted the two of you plus the imaginary friend you would be taking home out of his office and into the foyer where Mac was still standing. As the door opened he looked over to the four of you and a small smile spread on his lips. You smiled back at him then dug in your pockets for your car keys which you then handed to (Y/S/N), "Why don't you and your friend go get settled in the car? I'll be right out."
(Y/S/N) takes the keys from your hand and ran out to the car carrying her small kitten friend who seemed to aptly be named Cuddles. After the front door closed behind her and Harriman had retreated back into his office you looked back towards Mac, "Where's Bloo?"
Mac shrugged, "Probably playing video games or something like that."
You took a few steps to stand beside him, "Did you guys get into a fight?"
He looked away and rubbed the back of his head, "I wouldn't say it was a fight exactly... He gets pretty jealous when I hang out with other people. I'm pretty sure he thinks one of these days I'm going to get sick of him or realize that I'm to old to have an imaginary friend and let him be adopted." You stood there quietly for a moment thinking of what you could say to comfort him, but before you had a chance to string together the words he looked back at you slightly panicked, "I'm sorry, I'm sure that was much more than you wanted to know." He said looking away again.
You place a hand on his shoulder, "Don't be sorry, I don't mind. I'm sure it's hard on you both." Your words draw his eyes to yours where he can see that the tender smile splayed on your lips actually touched your eyes.
He covers your hand with his own, "Thank you. Most people assume that I will decide to put him up for adoption sooner or later, the others just assume that I could never give him up... No one has ever acknowledged that it's an actual decision, and sometimes a rather difficult one."
"There's no need to thank me, after all it is you decision. You deserve support no matter what you choose."
A warm smile spreads across Mac's face as he looks at you, "I know this probably isn't the time... but could I take you to dinner sometime?"
You chuckle a bit at the unexpected question, but smile and nod, "I would like that a lot actually."
Before either of you could say another word (Y/S/N) bursts through the front doors, interrupting the moment with an impatient sigh, "(Y/N) what are you doing? Let's go!"
You roll your eyes at her, "I'll be right there okay? Just give me a second."
She huffs again but turns to go back to the car, "Fine, but hurry up!"
As soon as the door closed behind her you started digging in your bag looking for something as Mac laughed beside you, "She's a wild one isn't she?" He said looking back at you.
You laugh at his comment just as you found what you had been looking for, a pen. Pulling it  out of your purse you reach for Mac's hand and begin to write your number on the back, "Yeah, she's always been like that. I really should hurry though before she comes back in here and drags me out."
Mac smiled as he read the ink on the back of his hand, "Alright, I'll call you then?"
You started walking backwards towards the door with a cheeky smile, "I'll be looking forward to it."
Little did you know that as the door closed behind you Mac stood in the foyer with a dreamy look on his face as he stared at the numbers written on his hand.
