Chapter 1

Natashas POV

It had been two months since the end of mine and Steve's mission and I had gone away for awhile to contemplate but now I'm coming back to live in the new avengers compound along with the other avengers. Tony is hosting a 're united' party (classic tony).

Steve's POV

I am already living at the compound, I have since it was first built. So are Bucky( we got him to remember everything), Thor and a few others. When me and Natasha finished the mission a couple of months ago I had feelings for her but I managed to push them to the back of my mind and do what she recommended, go on a date. So I did.. with Sharon. She I really nice and beautiful but it feels kinda weird seeing as I also dated her aunt.

No ones POV

The party started around 7 and all the avengers were there apart from Natasha (there were also some other people like agents from shield that weren't corrupt, that now worked for the avengers). Steve and Sharon were by the bar, flirting.
"Wow Sharon you look stunning in that dress"
"Aww thanks Steve but I must say you look better without that shirt on"
Steve blushed. Sharon giggled
"Your so cute when you blush"
Steve pushed Sharon playfully

"Would you do the honour of dancing with me lady Sharon"
"Don't call me that Thor it makes me sound special"
"But you are" whispered Steve
Sharon blushed
"Yes Thor I would love
to dance"
Sharon and Thor walked away to the area that had been made into a 'boogie floor' (that's what tony and Clint called it). Just as Sharon and Thor went over to the dance floor, Natasha romanoff walked in. Steve (who had just taken a sip of his drink) spat it out at the sight of her. This was partly because he didn't think she would come but also because she looked like an angel.

"Rogers" Natasha had spotted Steve and walked over to him

When they met in the middle their bodies collided together in a hug that seemed a bit to friendly.
"I've missed you nat"
Natasha broke away
"Right back at you old man"
"Shut up, so how have you been" Steve asked chuckling
They both sat down and started to chat. About 10 minutes later Sharon came over.
"Oh hey Sharon Isn't it?"
"Yes, you must be Natasha romanoff"
"That's me"
"Steve told me about your mission a couple of months back"
"So you to talk a lot huh"
"We are actually together arent we Steve"
Natashas heart sunk a bit
"Yeah I took your advice nat and started dating Sharon". He pecked her in the lips.
"Congrats guys"
"Thanks" Sharon said as she sat down on Steve's lap in the barstool
He wrapped his muscular arms around Sharon and Natasha couldn't help but think of the time when he did the same to her.
"Well it was nice speaking to you Rogers and your Sharon but I'm gonna go have a catch up with tony"
"Bye nat" Steve gave her an 'are you ok look'
Natasha returned it with an 'yes why would I not be look'

The party went on until about 1 in the morning
Until tony passed out, that was when everyone decided it was time to end it. They all walked to their rooms which were spread out on two floors. On the floor which Steve and Sharon were on, also accommodated Sam, Bucky,Clint and Natasha.

Steve and Sharon walked arm in arm to Steve's room because Sharon's room wasn't as big. When they got to Steve's room Sharon went straight in but Steve waited outside for Natasha As their rooms were right next to each other's.
"Hey Nat"
"Rogers"
"Are you ok, you seemed a little bit off at the party?"

'No I'm not ok, I love you' is what Natasha wanted to say but instead came out the words:
"Yeah I'm just tried, it was a long journey"
Unconvinced, Steve just nodded
"Ok well night then"
"Night Steve"
