Chapter 9

It had been a week since the incident with Natasha and Steve and they had not spoken since. Natasha had avoided Steve whenever he tried to speak to her and she was always distracted which made her worse at missions. She spent most of her time in her room and refused food.

Steve and the rest of the avengers and Sharon were sitting in the main living area when Natasha made one of her rare ventures out of her room. They all looked round as she entered. Steve made to get up but Clint stopped him. Maria walked over to Natasha, who went straight to the kitchen.
"Nat, are you ok"
"Yeah of course, I'm just getting some food"
Her eyes were still puffy from where she had been crying.
"Natasha look-"
"Save it for someone who cares Steve"
Natasha grabbed an apple and left.
"Wow Steve you must have done something real bad" said Sam
"I bet he tried to sing for Romanoff"
"Shut up tony" Steve hissed
"Actually it's because me and Steve-"
"Sharon I swear is you say it"Steve began
"No let Sharon speak, we wanna hear what she has to say" said tony
Steve rolled his eyes and said.
"Ok but let me tell it, Sharon will tweak it if she does"
All the avengers nodded and he began"
"So basically me and Natasha were making out in an office and then Sharon came in"
"Wait, you cheated on Sharon"
"I was gonna tell her later, anyway let me carry on, she called Natasha a slut, a cow and more and she said that I had just made Natasha make out with me to get her back for being a slut, which isn't true. Then Natasha stormed out before I could say that I loved her not sharon"

All the avengers were silent before many of them started handing eachother money.
"What are you guys doing" asked Steve
"Oh, we all made bets on whether or not you and nat would get together" said tony
Steve rolled his eyes.

After like 10 minutes, Steve got up and pretended that he was going on a run. He walked to Natashas room and knocked on the door. To his surprise, she answered. She took one look at him then started to close the door again but Steve had his foot in the way.
"Hey move your foot Rogers"
"Not before you talk to me nat"
"Ugh fine"
She opened the door wider
"I love you nat, not Sharon or anybody else and all the things that Sharon said weren't true. I- I even love you more than Peggy"
Natasha stood there in silence, then she spoke
