Chapter 5

I woke up to the feeling of big muscular arms embracing me, I loved the feeling but it was wrong. Steve was with Sharon and as much as I hated it, I had to live with it. I slowly got up out of the bed, put in a jumper and walked downstairs and outside. I sat on the bench on the porch and looked over the wild landscape.

"Jesus aren't you cold out here"

"Oh hey I didn't wake you did I?"

"No you didn't nat but in a light sleeper"

"Look thanks for comforting me last night but don't you think it felt wrong, I mean your with Sharon"

"Yeah but we are just friends, it's not like we are having sex"

"Who is having sex now?"

"CLINT"

Natasha got up and hugged him. Steve got up and bro hugged him.

"No one is having sex Clint" Steve re-assured him.

They all went inside for breakfast and talked about the mission and other stuff.

"Me and nat need to get back to the avengers compound to tell fury about this"

"Sure, do you guys wanna use my car"

"No thanks we are gonna use Steve's elderly motorcycle"

"Shut up nat" Steve chuckled

They finished breakfast and Steve and nat packed up then drove all they way back to the avengers compound. They arrived late afternoon. They walked into the he main living area to see tony and Thor playing chess and Sam playing pool.

"Hey guys" Steve said

"Oh hey, why was your mission so long I thought it only took a day at most"

"Yeah well someone  bombed us"

Steve and Natasha explained what happens

"Omg Steve"

They turned round to see Sharon running towards them. Natasha's heart sank

"Jesus can you two not spend a moment apart"

Steve laughed but Sharon looked angry

"Just because no one loves you romanoff doesn't mean other people can't love"

"Sharon take that back" Steve said sternly

"No someone needed to say it"

Steve moved away from Sharon and towards Natasha then walked with her out the room. When they got to Steve's room they stopped

"I'm sorry, I don't know why Sharon is acting like that"

"She spoke the truth"

"No she didn't nat!"

"No one loves me, I'm just a cold blooded killer"

"I love you just they way you are nat"

Steve embraced her. A warmth spread through her body like fire.

"Well night Rogers, thanks for the pep talk"

"That's fine, if you ever feel down just ask to talk I would be more than happy to"

Natasha gave Steve a kiss on the cheek then walked to her room. Steve felt it burn where her lips had made contact. Damn he was falling hard for romanoff. No Steve it Sharon right? He wasn't so sure anymore

"Steve?"

He turned around

"What is it Sharon?"

"Look I'm really sorry I just got jealous of you two"

"It's fine just promise me you won't do it again"

"I promise"

Steve kissed her. As they started to make out Natasha looked out her peep hole and started to sob. Why was love so fucking painful
