Gray's POV:

As was walking to class I thought back to what Juvia had said the day before. My heart skipped a beat as I thought back to how she signed "See you later." Meaning that she wanted to see me again. That thought alone made me happy, maybe I've finally done something right. I sat down at my desk and was about to get comfortable when the person sitting in front of me turned to look at me.

"Hey, Gray."

I looked up and that's when he showed me his phone.

"We've all been wondering, is that you?"

I looked closely at the picture and realized it was me jumping into the river.

"W-Where'd you get that?" I stammered, now realizing how many people were staring at me.

Just then a woman came into the classroom with a stern expression on her face.

"Mr. Fullbuster, report to the faculty office immediately."

Later...

I sat in my room reviewing the suspension slip I was given for jumping into the river. I knew it was prohibited, but I didn't think anyone would find out so quickly. I guess that's more karma for me being a jerk. I let out a sigh as I wrote my statement on the slip when Ultear entered the room.

"Gray, got a minute?"

"Yeah?" I replied, turning to face her.

"Sorry to ask-But do you think you could pick up some things for me? Mom's busy and I won't have time to get them after my appointment."

"I'm not supposed to leave the house while I'm still suspended."

"Come on, it's only a few essentials. I even left a list for you downstairs."

"Uh-Well..."

But before I could even finish Ultear closed the curtain and said "Thanks, you're a lifesaver!"

I let out a groan of annoyance and cursed under my breath.

About an hour later...
2:30 PM

As I was walking home with a small bag of groceries, I happened to see a small form lying on a nearby park bench. When I got closer I realized that it was the pink-haired girl that hung around Juvia. Her face was covered with dirt, along with her clothes. She seemed to be unconscious as I heard heavy breaths leave her mouth.

I carefully placed a hand on her shoulder and attempted to shake her awake.

"Hey, kid! Are you awake?" I asked as she slowly opened one eye.

"Aren't you Juvia's girlfriend? Your gonna catch a cold like this." I said in concern.

The kid slowly opened her eyes and muttered "If it isn't the stalker..."

She sat up on the bench and I cautiously took a seat next to her while placing the bag of groceries on my lap. We sat there in silence for a few moments before I decided to break the tension.

"What are you doing? How'd you end up sleeping here?"

The girl didn't say anything and continued to stare at her lap. That was when I realized she didn't have any shoes on.

"Where are your shoes?"

Instead of giving me a reply she suddenly asked "Aren't you mad at me?"

A puzzled look fell on my face as I looked at the girl. "Uh-About what?"
