I sat next to Raven and the two of us worked together to try and get the radio to work.
"This is Raven Reyes calling Ark station. Come in, Ark station."
She was getting frustrated by the minute. I rubbed her back gently.
"You'll get it." I said.
She sighed. "Is there something I missed? Harley, look at it. Did I do something wrong?"
I looked at the radio. I checked every inch of the thing to try and find something wrong with it, but nothing was wrong.
"You sure you have the right frequency?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm sure."
"Raven, you can do this. Okay?"
Raven took a deep breath and started up again.
"Calling Ark station. Ark station, please come in. I'm on the ground with the 100. We need you." Raven said.
I grabbed another headset and put it on my head. Now the two of us were trying to reach the station. Better then one.
"Ark station. Come in! This is Harley James, one of the 100. Come in. Please. Can anyone hear me? Calling Ark station. Are you there? Please come in. Calling Ark station. We're alive. The 100 are alive. Can anyone hear me?"
"This is a restricted channel. Who is this? Please identify yourself." A voice responded.
"This is Harley James and Raven Reyes. We're from mecha station. We're transmitting from the ground. The 100 are alive. Please, you need to get Dr. Abby Griffin. Dr. Abby Griffin. Now."
I looked at Raven, a smile on my face.
"We did it." She cheered, giving me a hug.
"Hang on, Harley and Raven. We're trying to boost your signal." Sinclair said through the radio.
"Raven? Harley? Are you there." Abby asked.
I pressed a button and put it on speaker so that Clarke could talk to her mom without a headset.
"Mom?" She said. "Mom, it's me."
"Clarke?" Abby asked. You could hear the happiness in her voice.
"Mom, I need your help. One of our people was stabbed by a grounder."
"Clarke, this is the Chancellor. Are you saying there are survivors on the ground?"
"Yes. The earth is survivable. We're not alone." Clarke told them. "Mom, he's dying. The knifes still in his chest."
"Clarke, Harley. Is my son with you?" The Chancellor asked.
My entire body started to hurt. I looked at Clarke. I closed my eyes, remembering when I found Wells, dead.
"I'm so sorry. Wells is - Wells is dead." I said, my voice cracking at the end.
I heard no response from the Chancellor. I hated telling him but I couldn't not tell him.
"I'm gonna talk you through it step by step." Abby said. "Clarke, give 5 - to medical - medic."
"What? Raven, what's wrong?" Clarke asked when she couldn't make out what her mother said.
"It's not the radio." Raven said.
"It's the storm." I finished.
"Clarke, we need to hurry." Abby said.
Clarke ordered Raven to go get something. I got up from my seat and walked to the door. It was getting pretty bad. The worst part is that we still had people out in the storm. Monty, Jasper.... Bellamy.
