Olivia and Jack had gotten to their car and had driven away from the hospital. During the drive, Jack had been very quiet, trying to contain the anger he felt for his mother right now. Olivia was the one at the steering wheel and she would slightly look over to Jack, not expecting the silence in which he was giving her. Olivia was getting worried with this newfound silence and cleared her throat, trying to start up a conversation, however, Jack already knew she was going to try.

"Why?" Jack asked out of nowhere, causing Olivia to look over to him, confused. "What do you mean?" She asked slightly, watching the road. Jack slowly looked at her, feeling as though that was a dumb question she just asked, what does it mean? She should already know! "Why didn't you extend the time a bit? Why couldn't you have spoken to her?" Jack started to ask, not giving her a chance to stop him. "You know she was really hoping to chat with you and you just say right in front of her IT'S TIME TO GO!" Jack finished, looking towards the window of the passenger seat. Olivia only sat in silence and watched the road, she didn't know what to say to him, she can't just lecture him for treating her like this because it is understandable.

"I am sorry you feel like this, I know how you feel about her. I love your little sister very much and I want her to live but.." Her voice trailed off, she tried to push the words out. Jack saw how her face fell into a sad look from the reflection of the window. "She wasn't gonna last long. DAMN IT!" Jack yelled as he punched the car door, Olivia jumped in her seat and looked at Jack. "Don't punch the door, young man!" Olivia shouted towards him, Jack only looked at her with anger. "SHE DESERVED TO SEE ALL THOSE SHE LOVED! TO CHAT WITH THEM!" Jack started and his head fell into his hands, he was crying. Olivia merely looked at him and sighed, feeling the pain in her chest grow.

"Jack, I bet she will be fine, maybe it won't actually kill her!" Olivia started to speak, "Maybe the doctors will be able to keep her around longer, long enough to give her a cure maybe." Olivia continued, trying to sound hopeful and trying to hold back tears. Jack stared at the floor of the car and trembled in his spot, he couldn't believe the words his mother was saying, even if he really WANTED to. Jack fell silent after that, never once speaking or making a noise during the whole trip home, Olivia would try and start a conversation but it never worked so she eventually fell silent as well. The two soon got to their neighborhood and soon saw the front of a nice small suburban house. Olivia pulled the car into the garage and put it in park, taking the keys out and sighing.

"Go get yourself cleaned up, dinner will be ready soon." Olivia kindly said and brushed the hair away from her face, gliding her hand through her silky light brown hair. Jack got out of the car in silence, doing what he was told. Olivia soon followed behind and got into the house, the smell of booze hit her nose fast. As much as the house was beautiful on the outside, the inside, or at least the living room, was not all nice. The living room had piles of beer cans and bottles lying around though no one was home. He must have left to get more beer, either that or with his friends, she thought slightly, walking around the house to the kitchen. Since of the time, she had to make something fast and simple, maybe one of those tv dinners will be good for her and Jack, for now, she highly doubts HE will eat once he gets home. Olivia sighed heavily and looked around in the kitchen, looking into the freezer. Olivia soon pulled out two tv dinners and started to cook them in the microwave, Jack came down as she was doing this.

"Jack, I know you are upset with me but I promise, everything will be fine," Olivia said comfortingly, she was trying to help him with this but it didn't seem to help, all he did was look at him then at the clock, staring at it. Olivia watched Jack stare at the clock, she then looked towards the clock to see it was 9:13, she was confused as to why he was watching it. "Hunny, why are you watching the clock?" Olivia asked in concern, Jack soon looked at her and shook his head, causing Olivia to be more concerned. "Did Milly say something about time?" Olivia asked more concerned, Jack only shook his head and sighed. "It's not that, it is well.." He tried to grab the words, Olivia only watched him, "I just have a bad feeling about a certain time, but then, that feeling turns to relief. I don't understand it really, but don't worry." Jack finished speaking and leaned against the kitchen counter, watching the food inside the microwave. Olivia sighed again and turned away from Jack, grabbing two sodas from the fridge. Once the microwave was done, Jack went in and grabbed his dinner, walking to the kitchen table and sitting down at it, watching two empty seats next to him. Olivia grabbed her own and looked towards the clock again, 9:15. Great, she was getting the same feeling as him but more concerned. Olivia shook the thoughts out of her head and sat down at the kitchen table, giving Jack his soda. As they were eating, time went by and soon enough the phone started to ring. Olivia got up fast and left Jack at the table, going to the phone and answering it, Jack tried to listen in but it went on pretty fast, he was unable to hear anything. After a while, Olivia had hung up the phone and for a moment, Jack could hear her whimpering, something had happened and the worst has come to his mind, the call was about Milly. Soon enough the phone rang again and Olivia answered, her voice suddenly changing into surprise and relief, Jack was confused with the sudden change until she hung up and rang into the room.
