------------------------------------------Rai's POV
Went down to Fairy Tail guild to find Makarov at 8 in the morning.
I am now sitting at the bar counter, waiting for Makarov to arrive. Sigh, he sure is taking his time. Meanwhile, I take in my surroundings. This place didn't change much at all, except that it got bigger. But, then again, I guess they can't help it.
The furniture's still the same. Oak. Smiling, I always knew Makarov loves oak furniture.
"Been waiting long?" A voice sounded behind me.
"Not really. Come sit with me, old friend," I smiled, gesturing him to the seat beside me.
Makarov sat next to me.
"So how you been, old man?" I sniggered.
"Same old, same old. Just as I told you in the letters. Heard you've been on the run lately. They still coming after you?" He asked, concerned.
"Yes. I know I endangered your family and your guild by coming here. If you want, I can leave right now and nobody will know. It's only right you care for your family first, rather than me. Cause unlike me, you all can still die. And my enemies, my enemies don't care who I'm with, they kill whoever is in their way. So I will totally understand if you want me to leave now. Once they know I'm here, they'll tear apart the city. You know what happened before, I told you so, I even showed you. I don't want anybody to be hurt in my place. I don't want anyone else to die, I don't want-," I stopped to catch my breath.
Makarov just stared at me, not saying a word. For a few minutes, it was like that.
"If I didn't want you here, I wouldn't have invited you to come back. If I didn't know the risks, I wouldn't have invited you here. Rai, I know fully well what your presence here means. And I also know you. You are the type who will not let their friends die. You're like Natsu. You'll know which one is Natsu later. How do you find it here so far?" He enquired.
"So far okay. Though I encountered a strange red-headed girl. She's strong. For her age. She's strange too. She tries to be strong up front but actually she's really soft inside. But she doesn't want anybody to see that part of her. She's an interesting case,"I replied.
"Ah, I see you've met Erza. Erza Scarlet. She has a, um, kind of a troubled past. It's best if you don't talk about her past. She hates it when anyone brings it up. But. I was hoping you could train her or something. She's strong, but I want her to get stronger. If that's okay with you," Makarov tried a small smile.
I sighed, "It's not that I do not want to train her. I do. She's just a bit short tempered. I don't think I can hold back. And she's messing me up."
"I see. You're not going to tell me yet, are you?" I kept quiet. "It's alright. Tell me when you're ready," he smiled. "I have to attend a meeting now. I'll be gone all day. Try to get to know the other guild members. And please don't kill anyone."
"I'll try."
I stayed at the my seat and watched as time passed by. When the place started filling up, I pulled my hood over my eyes, not wanting anyone to see me.
I felt a few curious glances at me. Normal. Then there arrived a girl. She manned the counter, trying to be busy. She's cute. Yes, yes, every girl I see is cute. But only a selected few are beautiful. Only a-wait a minute. Yesterday, I thought the red-headed girl Erza was beautiful. Does that mean that I...? No, it can't be. I shook my head.
