Dracos day had started amazing but he wasn't in a good mood anymore. Professor Snape had just stopped Draco to remind him about his task and of its importance. Knowing that he had to kill someone made Draco feel unsteady and awful in general.

The blonde felt his eye water as he walked quickly through the corridors. He stopped in an empty corridor he knew no one would be at. The blonde let the tears roll down his cheeks, each one faster than the last.

Draco always hid from everyone when he had moments like these; when sudden waves of sadness flashed over him. He needed to be away from everyone, that's why he found the secret cave, that's why he claimed it for himself.

With tears still rushing out of his grey orbs, Draco walked to his dorm and quickly looked for the stuffed animal that would lead him to his safe place. While thinking of the cave where he felt like he could truly be himself, he clutched onto the dragon and felt his stomach churn as his surroundings changed.

Malfoy's feet led him to the familiar secret door but before he could mutter the words he noticed the door was already open. Curiosity toke over Draco's senses and he walked in, taking in every thing around him.

His eyes scanned the area before he noticed a pile of clothes on the ground next to the small lake, girls clothes.

As if on queue, a brunette figure emerged from the water soaked. His eyes quickly widened as he recognized the figures blue eyes, it was Cassandra Danford.

Recently, Draco had found himself staring at her a lot. He wasn't really sure why either. There were new small things he noticed of her; the way her mesmerizing eyes scanned the pages of Pride and Prejudice, how she bit her nails when she was nervous or bit her lip when she was focused.

"Draco? Are you okay?" She asked as she slowly stepped out of the lake. She was wearing a simple black bikini that didn't show to much skin, she looked confident.

"I-I'm fine." "Have you been crying?" Draco had almost forgotten that his eyes were probably red and puffy. "N-no." The blonde looked everywhere but at the girl in front of him. She stepped closer to him and her index finger met his pale chin. Their eyes met and Draco felt water ready to pool out.

"Hey hey hey, it's okay." She put her arms around his torso as he cried into her shoulder. The tears wouldn't stop rushing down his face, he was getting Cass' shoulder wet but she didn't care.

It was obvious that he hadn't cried in a while, he had to let it all out. "What happened?" She whispered as he pulled away from her, "can I trust you?" He sniffed and she smiled lightly while nodding.

Draco was hesitant but decided Cassandra wouldn't tell a soul, she's not the kind of girl to gossip about people's problems. His pale finger silently shook as he slowly lifted his robe sleeve on his left arm, revealing the dark mark.

Cassandra felt her eyes widen as her hand covered her mouth. She knew that deep down Draco was a good person, she knew he didn't want this. She wasn't sure but she just had the feeling he didn't want this.

"Your one of them?" Her voice was soft but sweet, she wanted to comfort him. "You probably hate me don't you?" "What?" He pulled away from her embrace, "I'm a monster Cassandra, it wouldn't be surprising if you hated me."

He toke his shirt and pants off, having his swim trunks already on. Before Cass could say anything, Draco jumped into the lake sending water everywhere. She giggled as the water washed over and Draco smiled as he rose from the clear water.

"Why'd you do that?" "'Cause I felt like it." A smile slowly came across his lips as she walked into the water. Her eyes went to Draco's forearm, the dark mark was moving. "Does it hurt?" He looked at his arm and back up at her, was she scared?

"Not really but it annoys the shit out of me." "Can i touch it?" The blonde nodded and her soft fingers stroked his arm. "I'm sorry for you." She whispered as she got closer to Draco. Their eyes met and she scanned his face, it was perfect.

She hadn't noticed how close they were until she felt herself leaning in, their lips were inches apart, she could feel his warm breath on her plump lips. "I-I should go." Cass panicked at the last second. She practically ran out of the small lake and picked up her clothes, running out of the cave before Malfoy could breath a word.

What was she thinking? Why did she lean in? Why did she even go to the secret space that night? Sure, Draco Malfoy had asked to meet her in a secret spot but she wanted to believe the reason he invited her was dirty.

She wanted to believe Draco only did it as a dare and it didn't escalate because of his crying and sudden need of comfort. Even if she hoped something more happened, it never would. Draco would never feel that way about her.

Not in a million years.
