Draco hadn't exactly been having the best week. His marks were already going down and they'd only been at school for a few weeks, weeks.
His worst class was divination, and his opinion it was the dumbest class hogwarts had to offer. Being in a class with a crazy lady who pretends to see the future is something no one at school wanted to do, even Hermione Granger thought divination was stupid.
Although he didn't enjoy the class, he was obligated to do it. The assignment was palmistry, a topic Malfoy found unexplainably impossible. You can't tell someone's future just by looking at their hands!
"So on your hand I see a line and another line and another white ass line and more white lines, that's a little racist don't you think?" Blaise tried to lighten the mood while examining Dracos hand but his blonde friend was just trying to get through the lesson.
They made eye contact and Blaise let go of Malfoy's hand. "This class is ridiculous." He muttered and Blaise chuckled as a brunette ravenclaw walked passed them, "sounds familiar doesn't it?" Cassandra smirked as she sat in her seat across from Adeline Ramirez.
Draco's grey orbs followed her all the way to her seat, she moved so calmly. "Why're you looking at Cassandra like that?" Blaise wiggled his eyebrows, he knew one day they'd talk just like he'd always wanted them too.
"Wha- no reason." The blonde spoke quickly and sat up in his poof before grabbing Blaises hand and examining it closely. "I happen to think you were admiring her." Blaise grinned, proud of himself for bringing two of his greatest friends together.
"From what this book says, you'll be living for 28 more years." Draco murmured and sat back in his poof calmly, "Actually mate, I'm going to live 58 more years." Blaise said looking over his text book, "this is bullshit." Malfoy said under his breath.
The class went on with more stupid prophecies being thrown around the classroom. As class ended, Draco heard a voice calling him, "Oh and Mr.Malfoy, Ms.Danford, please stay for a moment." Professor Trelawney sighed before sitting back at her desk. What is it she could want?
He walked towards his professors desk and stood next to Cassandra. "Your marks in my class have significantly gone down Malfoy." The professor said as she walked towards the two students, almost knocking over a vase on the way.
"So I have chosen Cassandra Danford to tutor you." She put a hand on Cass' shoulder while the blue eyed girl looked at her disgusted, "I'm sorry what?" "You have exceptionally good marks in my class and I believe you will greatly improve young Malfoy's marks in not only my class but many of his others."
The two teens made eye contact and Cassandra blushed before looking away, that was embarrassing and it would most likely get even worse.

The day was slowly coming to an end and Cass made her way to the library. If she had to tutor Malfoy she was going to do it the right way. They had never agreed on meeting up that day but she made severe eye contact with the blonde as she left the hall trying to portray the idea of him following her out.
"So how are you supposed to help me Danford?" Cass heard his voice and got chills up her spine. "I-um I'm not sure." She responded as she sat in a table with Draco across from her. "Let's just get started, what do you know about palmistry?" She asked before taking her textbook out, "It's a dumb subject that isn't trust worthy."
Cass rolled her eyes, this was going to be a very long night.

"In the book it says, Palmistry is the art of predicting events in the future through the study of the palm. It involves the studying and interpretation of one's palm lines." Draco read, "Okay so what is it to you?" "Where people read lines in your hand." He muttered.
"Good, I mean I guess your learning something." "Hey! I am learning!" The blonde pouted, "Okay then what line determines how long a person will live?" Draco looked extremely focused and Cass giggled at how hard he was trying.
"Uh- the.... the- the fucked up line in your hand that looks like a rainbow." Cassandra couldn't help but burst out laughing, "Who knew Draco Malfoy was soft." She fell out of her chair and started rolling around running out of air.
"It's not even that funny!" Malfoy couldn't help but grin. "Yes it was!" Cass smiled as she heard Draco Malfoy laugh for the first time. She never thought she would hear Draco laugh genuinely.

"You have to admit he's cute!" Giselle Windsor commented as they sat together in the Great Hall. Even though Giselle was a gryffindor, she always sat at the ravenclaw table and after years of trying to get her to leave most of the Ravenclaws gave up.
"You and Neville would definitely look adorable together." Addy said between chews. "Too bad he's with Luna." Cass had her head in a book when she felt her friends looking at her. "What?" "Whys Malfoy coming over here?" Adeline questioned and Cass turned around to see Draco walking towards her.
"Uh hey." He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, "Hey." Cass smiled, "can we talk later?" The girl nodded, "same place as always." Her friends looked at her with confused expressions on their faces. Malfoy leaned down and whispered, "bring a bathing suit."
He walked away as the brunette blushed and continued eating. "What was that about?" Adeline asked, interrupting Cass' thoughts. "Nothing." "Nothing? It didn't seem like nothing." Giselle gasped, "are you two dating or something?" Cassandras eyes widened, what even are they? Friends? Enemies?
"Uh no, we-we're just friends... yeah. Just friends." She nodded trying to reassure herself as her friends looked at each other before looking back at the young Danford. Was she lying to herself?
A/N: this chapter was so random but umm... yeah. I have no idea where this story is going😃
