Harrys POV
I sit parked in my car, staring at the house ahead. I cannot believe I'm doing this. If somebody told me two months ago that I would be going to Liam's house on my own terms, to ask him for advice, I probably would have punched them in the face. My stubbourness keeps fighting to take over as many thoughts pass through my mind. Before I can talk myself out of it, I take a deep breath and exit my car, walking up the footpath that leads to Liam's house.
My hand reaches behind me and pulls my hoodie over my head, concealing my face from anybody that could possibly be looking. There is no way I am going to be seen willingly visiting Liam, especially by myself. My repuation would be pretty much non-existant.
Without knocking, I enter Liam's large house and make my way upstairs to his bedroom. Unfortunately, his mom Karen spots me and comes over to greet me, after sending me a confused look. "Harry?" she asked. "You here for Liam?"
"Yeah." My eyes avoid contact with hers as she tells me that Liam is in his room doing homework. Typical.
When I reach his door, I once again don't knock and let myself in. "Harry?" he asked me, in the exact same tone his mother had used only seconds ago. "Yeah, Yeah." I sigh, looking up to see him placing a textbook down on his desk. "Look, I need your help."
Liam looks up at me as if to confirm my seriousness, then replies. "Harry Styles? Asking me for help? Wow, you must be in some deep shit this time. I've told you plenty of times already that I don't want to be involved in, um.." he takes a breath before continuing, "whatever it is that you do. Sorry mate but whatever it is I don't think I'll be much help."
Getting angry, I shoosh him before he could say anymore. "Look, mate," my hands form in quatation marks as I talk, "This has nothing to do with my gang and what I do. There's just.. I need your advice."
Liam looks up at me in disbelief and nods his head, willing me to continue. "There's this.. erm.. girl and I don't know what to do to get her to go on a date with me." I spit out my words with embarrassment and await his reply, which will hopefully be something worthwhile.
"Who's the girl?"
"You won't know her, but her name is Indigo Moore."
I take this time to look around Liam's clean room. He has a large wooden desk that takes up nearly a whole wall, piled with many books and sheets that are stacked in neat piles. To the left of the desk is a door that leads to his balcony, I'm pretty sure it overlooks his pool. On the wall opposite, there is a large calander hung up with sticky notes colour-coded to mark special dates. Wow, he really is a freak. I've always had this thought that Liam is very feminine, but man I didn't know he was this girly. What sort of guy actually cares about his education?
Liam sits on his bed, a slight smirk plastered on his face. "Whats that look for?" I spit at him, walking back over to him. "Come on, I dont have all day. Unlike you I actually have somewhere to be later so I would appreciate it if you could hurry your little ass up and give me an answer."
"You know what Harry? I actually know Indy and no amount of advice I could give you would even give you the slightest chance to get in with her! She actually has self respect and morals, she wouldn't even look twice at a guy like you."
I barely ever see Liam angry, it's a rare occasion. He's always getting frustrated at me, but he hardly ever loses his temper, even at me. I stand up from the chair I had been standing on and make my way to the door. Before I exit, I turn around and give him a deathly glance. "When I'm waking up with Indigo in my bed right next to me, you'll be the first one I call." And with that, I left.
This whole thing with Liam has made me so damn furious! Who the hell does he think he is talking to me like that? He should be scared of me. I am now so much more determined to get the girl now so I can rub it in Liam's face before handing her off to Louis.
I'm storming down the front path of Liam's house when I hear his annoying voice calling out my name. When I don't reply, he runs faster to catch up to me and places one of his feminine hands on my shoulder.
"Harry, I'm willing to help you with Indy.. just hear me out."
I nod my head in agreement as I follow him up the small hill that is situated in his front yard. I stifle a giggle as I imagine Liam laying on this hill on a hot summers day, sun-baking and reading the latest gossip magazine. Wouldn't surprise me if that's how he spent his time to be honest.
"So," he started, "From the few times I've talked to Indy I have learned a lot about her. She's an A student, can speak French and, of course, comes from a pretty strict family. If you want to please Indy, you're going to have to please her parents. And if you think that they're going to let you take their daughter out while you have all your tattoos showing, then think again. They want a guy for her that cares about his education and has a job, legal of course."
I sigh at the reveal of new information. "Liam, what will it take for me to get into your preppy school?"
He stares at me in disbelief but continues, "they let anyone in, but if you stuff up once, you're a goner."
"I'm in. See you Monday, princess." And with that, I left, more determined than ever.
Before I know it, I'm turning onto Indigos street. Just in time, I see her leaving her house, locking her front door behind her, then getting into her car and driving off. I slow down and follow her car, being careful to keep a bit of distance so she doesn't catch me following her. She drives around the suburb for about 25 minutes before pulling over into the parking lot to a bowling alley.
A bowling alley, really? She is 17 and her idea of fun on a friday night is going bowling. I scowl and get out of my car, following her into the large alley. When I enter through the sliding doors, I immediatly lock eyes with her striking blue ones. A look of realisation crosses her features as she recognises me. I use that as my chance to make my way over to her, walking with rather cocky strides.
"Harry, are you following me?" She asked as soon as I neared, a slight look of frustration tracing her features. I give her a small smirk, and shake my head. "Actually, little lady, I'm meeting my friend here. Liam Payne, I believe you know him?"
"You're friends with Liam?!" she sounded shocked. Nothing surprising though, a guy like me would never hang out with a guy like Liam by choice. But Liam might be my only chance here, so I'm going to have to go along with it and be seen with him in public whether I like it or not.
"Sure am, he's told me some quite lovely things about you." I say, leaning in and whispering in her ear. She blushes as my breath tickles her highlighted cheekbones. "Can you confirm some of those things, over dinner maybe?"
She shakes her head and pushes me away from her now slightly shaky body. "No means no, Harry."
Little does she know that I am Harry Styles, and I don't take no for an answer.
