The photographers are getting their cameras ready for whoever next to stand at a spot on a red carpet in front of them. When I walked in the middle, I plastered a smile and do some posing with the name of Topshop on my background.
"Can we get some solo shots, Ingrid?" a man from the crowd asked. He's probably from a magazine that covers the event. I nodded at him. When I knew my time being out here with the cameras were done, I started to move further down the red carpet and saw the reporters were finding public figures they can interview. A woman interviewing Eva Humphries, a celebrity stylist, saw and she instantly perked up. She muttered some words to her assistant and the girl made her way to approach me.
"Hello, Ingrid," she said politely, "Would you mind if we call you over for an interview?" I shook my head and follow the girl to where the camera man and the interviewer standing.
"And look who's also here, the beautiful lady behind the most talked about blog, the owner of GlitzyGlam - Ingrid Fowler!" the reporter smiled at me brightly. "So tell us what you're wearing for tonight?"
"Oh hello to you too, yes I'm fine thank you! How about you?" I answered on my head sarcastically.
I faked a smile and start narrating the every details of what I'm wearing. After my turn, I started to walk inside the newly opened store. I didn't waste time so I started to get my camera and do my priorities, I took pictures of their different collections. As I was getting busy focusing the lens of my Nikon on the mannequins, I winced as someone yelled my full name.
"Ingrid Fowler!!" Standing in front of me are my blogger besties Alisha, Jen and Tyler. Alisha was originally based here in LA while Jen was an Asian and Tyler was from UK. We met when we attended meet & greet event last year. We instantly clicked and we started talking like we've known each other since we were younger. They were really easy to get along with. People always compare us, but there is no competition or rivalry between us.
"How dare you for not telling us that you moved here already?!!" Jen whispered yelled. I laughed at her reaction. "You should've tell us earlier so we can help you moved in!" Tyler said.
"It's alright guys, thanks for being the best friends! My condo was still a mess and don't worry because I will dragged your butts to help me whether you like it or not!" I explained.
"Thank you for coming tonight. It's good to see all the three of you together!" We all turned our heads to see where the high pitched voice coming. A blonde woman in her late twenties greeted us, she must be the branch manager. "Thank you for inviting us here as well!" Alisha smiled enthusiastically as we all stepped a little to the side so all five of us could fit into the shot when the camera man tried to took a photo of us.
"As our way of saying thank you, we offer you discounts for the items that you'll buy for today." the manager happily informed us before we separate ways. We couldn't contain our excitement so we didn't waste any second and start shopping. I picked a navy blue drop waist dress that has a white peter pan collar. I also grabbed a pair of white skinny jeans and a grey muscle tee out of the pile of clothes.
"Hey, we need to leave early so we can find a place for our OOTN!" Alisha said, appearing out of nowhere. Alisha's fashion taste was a bit edgy sometime, she was in a pair of black ripped jeans and a white off the shoulder top, pairing the whole outfit with a laced up boots. "Girl, are you sure you're going to buy all of that?" I asked, pointing on a bunch of clothes in her arms. "You know that I go to gym everyday and all my hardships paid off because I lost pounds from just a month of working out!" she said proudly. "Well, you know too that I never missed a rumor and if I'm not mistaken you're exclusively dating your trainer!" I smirked when I saw her cheeks reddden from embarrassment. She slapped my arm lightly and muttered some curse to Tyler for spilling the beans. We both laughed and giggled. "I'll tell you everything when we go out since you're just one text away from me!" she told me as we walk to the cashier and meet Jen and Tyler who's now paying for their items on the counter.
Once we got our shopping bags, we search for the exit. It's been two hours since we arrived and the amount of people has grown to almost double the original digits. We went to the lobby of the mall to take our OOTN. It was Jen's turn first so she handed me her camera. She was wearing a long sleeved dress that hugged her body and the bottom just flowed above her knee but the back was backless. It was no doubt that she was a real stunner, she has the perfect curves that many assumed was the result of plastic surgery. But she was all natural, even the fair curls that tumbled to her shoulders. When she's satisfied with my shot, it was now my turn. I handed my camera to Alisha and start posing. After a few clicks, she give the camera back so I can check it. Alisha was my favorite photographer because she know the right angle, she actually shot most of my photos on my blog.
Eventually the time ticks by, we all decided to take an early rest. They walked me to the parking lot where the driver was waiting. I give Jen and Alisha a peck and Tyler gives me a hug before I get in the car. We all waved to each other until I can't see them no longer from the distant.
When we finally arrived at the condominium, I walk down the hall while nodding my head in acknowledgement to the guards as I walked past them towards the elevator. Once I got into my floor, I fished out the keys on my bag and open the door to my unit. I went straight to my room while removing my trench coat and flopped down on my bed. My eyes scanned the room, it was fairly big room with white walls and a queen sized bed located in the middle of the room. It was nice and simple, just how I liked it. My dressers were off to the side of the room, but most of them were empty, since I basically had a closet big enough to store another queen sized bed.
I closed my eyes for a minute, thinking of what's my schedule for the next days. Then I remembered that I have to go furniture shopping so I reached for my iPhone inside my bag to call Tyler via FaceTime. He can be a total gentleman sometimes so I'll ask him to come with me tomorrow since Jen and Alisha were busy attending another social event.
After four rings, Tyler picked up. His jet black hair and bright green eyes appeared on my screen. "Hey girl, miss me already?" he said while snapping his fingers like a diva. He was, let's say, your typical gay bestfriend. He's the type of gay that doesn't dress like one. He actually had style in men's fashion and had a fabulous job as a style blogger.
I stiffled a giggle. "Don't flatter yourself! I just wanted to inform you that you are going to pick me up here at 8:00 in the morning tomorrow because we're going to Ikea and you'll be my human shopping cart. You want me to repeat it?"
"And what makes you think that I'll come with you?" he said while smirking. "Because you're the best girlfriend anyone could ever have! Just please don't tell it to Jen and Alisha!" I beamed at him. "Alrighty! As long as you will find me some hottie. Ooohhh that rhymes! So let's both take a rest now, I'll see you tomorrow bitch!" he winked at me before the line went dead. I immediately went to my bathroom to change into my nightgown. I removed the bobby pins from my bun and let my hair fall down. I get my eyeglass and Macbook to start working on my blog post.
While waiting for the photos from my DSLR to upload, my hands were tapping on the keyboard carefully thinking of what should I type on the content. Readers aren't simply interested on how good you look or how fashionable your clothing is, they want to know the story behind them as well. I'm the kind of blogger who share insight into my life so I always make sure that my post has to be intelligently written.
It takes me two hours to finally finished typing my post. Knowing that my eyes can't handle it anymore, I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. Before I hit the sack, I reached for my phone and tweeted this for my followers:
"Don't forget to check out my new post on my blog! Good night my twitter friends! :)"
