The sound of my alarm buzzing with Ariana Grande's song jolts me to conciousness. I took off my eye mask and grab my phone to turned the alarm off. It is 5:30 am and I'm ready to start my day when I noticed that I'm not in my own bed.. I looked around and I'm even more shocked that I'm in a different room.
"Oh no Ingrid! You didn't!" I said, then I started to panic. I peeked under my blanket to check and I felt relieved that I'm still wearing my favorite pajama.
5 seconds had passed when it hits me..
"Alright Ingrid! Time to calm down! You're in your new condo and it's not what you're thinking about!" I told to myself while I yanked the blanket off my body. I walked towards my floor-to-ceiling window to pull up the curtains. My unit is in the 30th floor and I have a great panoramic view of the busy streets of Los Angeles.
Three weeks ago, I purchased my first condo unit here in USA. Good thing I know someone who can arrange all the paperworks efficiently so it will be hassle-free. I just moved in last night so you couldn't blame for over reacting when I woke up this morning.
My phone beeps twice, a message from my Mom popped out.
"Hi sweetie, how's your first day on your new home? Please let me know if you're okay. You can always come back here with us. Don't hesitate to tell me if you changed your mind. Take care of yourself and don't forget to eat your breakfast before you go to work. Enjoy LA!"
A smile crept up to my face. My mom was always against my move to LA. She actually pleaded me to stay in Melbourne, trust me when I say that I tried. The main reason why I flew here in LA is because my fashion blog became well-known. I got readers and followers from different parts of the globe and it started to increase until it hits into a million. This is where I do most of my work. I was always invited in various social and fashion events here - and I will never forgive myself if I refuse it. At first I insisted that I just fly back constantly from Melbourne but it couldn't work. I barely had any sleep and I spent more time in the plane than doing something worthy.
I put down my phone and made a mental note to call her later. I went on my kitchen to make myself a coffee. I had no maids and didn't plan to get one anytime soon so it was quite lonely staying by myself. I get my Macbook since I haven't set up my desktop yet and placed it on the kitchen counter.
This is why I wake up early - to check my blog as well as my social media accounts and spend hours to reply on my readers/followers. I would die without an internet connection. My OOTD that I post last night on my blog has gained a hundred thousand views. I always made sure to thank the readers who find time to comment on it. After that I went on my Twitter account and check my Mention, a lot of my followers tweeted me the same question: "Are you going to attend to the VIP Topshop branch opening at the Beverly Center later?" I tapped my chin, thinking of my mental calendar. I have no secretary to ask or remind me about it, instead I always record it by myself on my planner so I looked at my schedule to check it.

4:00pm VIP opening of Topshop at the Beverly Center
Right after seeing it, I tweeted this: "For those of you asking about the Topshop branch opening later, yes I will be there together with my co-blogger. See you there! :)"
One of the Perks of being a Fashion Blogger is being invited on VIP branch opening party to check out some of their designs before they're available to the public. Plus the discounts that you can get when shopping!
