My Angel in Disguise

Chapter 13

Raj’s POV:

When I was trying to cool myself by seeing the valley , someone came and sat beside me.

I turned to see Riddhima’s face. She tried to soothe me by saying all sweet and caring words. As she entangled her hands with mine , a feeling of completeness filled me. When she rested her head on my shoulder, it felt perfect.

As the sun began to set behind the hill, Riddhima’s mouth was flung open.

“It is absolutely…beautiful”, she said.

But to my astonishment, I found myself gaping at her. She looked stunning. The sun rays falling on her made her look like an angel.

Somehow I managed to come out of it and utter,“I love looking at the sunrise in marina beach in Chennai and the sunset in Shimla. Actually the best sunset can be seen in Udaipur. Have you ever been there?”

She started to laugh. Her laughter was music to my ears.

“hahaha… I have never been out of Chennai. Maybe next time you take me there”, she replied .

“Maybe I will”, I said in a very serious tone.

As she looked up to face me, I thought about nothing else but to kiss her pink luscious lips. I moved a strand of hair falling over her face and brushed my thumb across her soft cheeks. As I started to lean towards her,I could sense that she was also wanted the same thing since she didn’t push me away. Instead she closed her eyes.

But as people say all the good things come to an end pretty quickly, we were saved by the bell.

Riddhima pulled away to pick up her mob. She turned towards me and replied,”Suraj is calling. I got to go”.

Just then I realized what I was about to do. Gosh ! I was being an idiot. I was about to kiss a girl who was already committed to another person. I felt so guilty. But Riddhima was not any other girl for me. She held a special place in my heart.

I facepalmed. i shouldn’t be thinking like this about her. This is so wrong. I just wished this didn’t spoil our friendship.

I got up and started walking towards my house.

Riddhima’s POV

As I picked up the call, Suraj greeted me,”Good evening, Sweetheart.”

I replied,”Good evening”.

He asked,”Did you reach safely?”.

I felt so guilty. Suraj is the sweetest guy I know. I was about to cheat on him. Well, frankly I didn’t so I guess that put me on a safe side.

“I reached safely. Just that there was a network problem before, that’s why I wasn’t able to call you”,I replied.

“Cool.So wassup?”, he enquired.

This question made me go back 5 minutes. There are many things that could have happened in the last 5 minutes. Somehow I diverted my mind and replied,” Nothing much, What about you?”

“Well, I went to Baga beach. Absolutely stunning. We enjoyed a lot there”.I could hear people calling out to him.

He continued,”Ok Ridhz, I gotta go. Bye , Love you”.

“ok bye. Take care”, was all that I managed to reply.

I went inside the guest house. As I entered, Ruhi said,”hey! Come on. Let’s see a movie”.

“Sorry Ruhi, not today. I feel too tired. Anyways we have to get up early for the inplant training tomorrow. I would advise that you also sleep early”,I said.

“oh yea!ok then good night!”, she said.

“Good night”, I replied.

As my head touched the pillow on the bed, my thoughts drifted to the events that happened today. I somehow tried to control them . Since I was too tried due to the travelling, I fell asleep quickly.

The next day, we got ready early and Raj had come to pick us up.

“I will sit in front today”, Ruhi said as she rushed to grab the front door.

I mentally thanked Ruhi for saving me some awkwardness that I would have had to face if I sat in front.

I opened the door at sat in the middle seat.

“Hi Ruhi”, Raj said .

“Hey”, Ruhi replied.

“Hi Riddhima”, Raj greeted me as he looked at me through the rear view mirror.

“Hey”, I replied.

The next stop was Vihaan’s house.

“Hey “, vihaan greeted us all as he sat beside me in the car.

“hi”, we all said in unison.

The first day of the implant training was uneventful. We were given a basic introduction and we had pretty much no job to do. After it got over , we all headed to the cafeteria.

“Guys, we have five days of implant training. So the boys should show us Shimla in the evening after the training gets over. What say Ridhz?”,Ruhi suggested an idea.

“Yea sure why not? You boys don’t shut your mouth about Shimla . Why don’t you show us the proof?”, I added.

“Ok no problem”,Vihaan said ,” You people are so going to love it”.

“Let us decide that”, Ruhi said.

As we were drinking tea, we saw the area around cafeteria. It was a good spot to take plenty of photographs with nature.

“Hey Raj! Why don’t you take pics of us in this location”, Ruhi said reading my thoughts.

After taking many selfies, Ruhi wanted to take pics with Vihaan alone. Raj was the one taking the pics.He was standing beside me .

“So about yesterday”, He said ,” I am sorry. I guess I got carried away”.

“Yea. I am sorry too. Let us forget this ever happened.”,I said.

“Yup . you are right!”, he agreed.

“Ok come on, Now Ridhz and Raj will take a pic together”, Ruhi said as she snatched away the camera from Raj.

We reluctantly went to the perfect spot to take the pic.

“Heys guys! move closer to each other. “, Ruhi shouted

Raj moved close to me. He put his hands around my shouder. I looked at him in shock. He looked at the camera giving a playful smile.

“Riddhima look at the camera”, Ruhi said motioning me to look at her.

I turned my face towards the camera and gave a genuine smile.

Ruhi clicked and said,”Perfect”.
