My Angel in Disguise

Chapter 14

So for the next five days, after the inplant training, we used to roam about in shimla.

The training was very informative and the people who taught us were very friendly. They made the sessions very interactive.

Day 1:

We went to Shaily peak. It was the best place for people who love to walk, ride bicycles or just enjoy nature. But this wasn’t a place for people who had less stamina. It takes a good couple of hours on the ascent.

Since I was not an atheletic person, I wouldn’t say that I was as fit as a fiddle. Vihaan and Ruhi had a competition among themselves as to who would reach the peak first. I opted out of the race because already I was huffing and puffing. As I ascended one step at a time, someone commented from behind,”oh my god! The rate at which you are going , you will be the first one to reach the peak”.

In a second I knew who that person was.

I rolled my eyes and asked, ”Raj! Are you going to comment like this the whole way?”

I heard him chuckle. In a swift movement he was beside me. He was walking without any effort as if he was strolling in a park.

He replied, ”when an opportunity comes before me, I utilize it completely”. He looked at me and winked.

A sense of irritation went through my spine. I chose to ignore his comments and keep trekking. I started taking deep breaths. I felt that my lungs were about to explode.

“Ok speedy! We will take a break now”, Raj said looking alarmed.

“hey you are the one who is speedy! Remember the first day?”, I reminded him as I sat down.

He smiled and said,”yea I remember”. He sat down beside me. “ How can I forget the first day? It was the first time that i…”, he cut his words suddenly.

I enquired with curiousity,”first time you? Come on complete the sentence.”

He started to stammer,” ummm.. it was.. the … the first time….hmmm.. the first time I made such an amazing group of friends”.

I raised an eyebrow,” you mean , you became friends with Ruhi and i?”

He suddenly got up and pulled me up,” yes yes! Ok now you are alright. Lets go before Vihaan and Ruhi start worring about us”.

I nodded as I agreed with him. The moment we reached the peak, there was a spectacular view waiting for us. It was so ravishing and extraordinary. We met Ruhi and Vihaan there.

“So who won?”, I asked.

“Why are you asking such a question ridhz? Ofcourse I only won”, Ruhi beamed.

“Well, I let you win to see the beautiful smile in your face”, Vihaan looked at Ruhi with lovey-dovey eyes.

“Awwwwwww!! You are such a sweetie pie!!”, Ruhi said as she hugged him.

“Ewwww… people get a room!” Raj exclaimed.

This made them laugh their hearts out.

Day 2:

The next day we went to a place called kufri. Around two days before ,  there was a snowfall which made our journey even better. We stopped at a place to take pictures of the beautiful surrounding. As I was taking pictures from Raj’s mobile, a ball of snow  hit my ears from behind.

I turned and saw that Ruhi was the culprit.

“Oh !  the war is so on!”, I declared and ran towards her.

Thus the snow fight began. The most targeted person was Vihaan since he was too slow in making snow balls and throwing at us.

We then went to a hotel and had lunch. After eating lunch we decided to go skiing.

“ I don’t know how to ski”, I said.

“me too!”, Ruhi joined me.

“I’ll teach you dear. Don’t worry!”, Vihaan smiled at her.

When reached the skiing place, Vihaan led Ruhi to a side and started teaching her.

As I looked at the skiing path, my heart started beating erratically. Someone caught my shoulders from behind.

“Don’t be tensed Ridhz, I’ll teach you”, Raj said assuring me.

“What if I get badly injured?”, I asked him.

“Ridhz I promise you one thing, I wont let you get hurt at all.Do you understand?”, he said in a caring voice.

I gulped and nodded my head.

To my advantage, Raj was a great teacher. After half an hour, four of us were skiing together. Ruhi and I didn’t become pro at it but we were moderate.

We asked other people present there to take pictures of the four of us.

There was a competition between Raj and Vihaan. Both were so good at it. It was as if i was looking at an international competition. Raj ended up overtaking Vihaan and winning by a few seconds.

We then went to a tea stall to drink hot tea. Vihaan whispered something in Raj's  ears. He then took Ruhi's hand and started walking with her towards the valley.

"Vihaan and Ruhi want to spend some time alone.", Raj said.

"Well which couple wouldn't? it is such a romantic place", i replied with a smile.

The radio in the tea stall started playing an indian romantic song "Tum se hi" from jab we met.

Raj and I looked at each other and started laughing. Suddenly snow started falling.

"Snow!!!!", i shouted at the top of my voice.

"Dont shout Ridhz, avalanche may occur due to your voice", he started to laugh.

I rolled my eyes at him and went outside the tea stall. I started to twirl and looked towards the sky to enjoy the snow.

Raj's pov

As i looked at her, she looked like an innocent girl. The falling of snow made her so happy. They way she twirled around and the way she enjoys wants me to keep looking at her. I want to always see her smiling . I don't know what came inside as i started to walk towards her.

"May i have the pleasure to dance with you?",i asked as i offered my hand.

She looked so shocked but then she accepted. As we started dancing i found out that she dances very well. Her body moved in sync with mine.

"Mr. Khadelwaal, i didnt know you could dance!", She said with a playful smile.

"You are not so bad yourself Ms.Khanna", i replied.

This made her cheeks turn red. Did i make her blush?

"Well there are many secrets that you don't know about me ridhz!" , i said winking at her.

"Cant wait to discover those", She said winking back.

We started laughing just then we heards someone.

"Ahem ahem. What is going on here?", Vihaan asked with a fake cough.

This made Riddhima and I move away from each other.

"Nothing we were just enjoying the snow fall", i managed to reply.

vihaan and Ruhi were practically staring at us.

"OK ! it's late. Let us go home", Ridhz said.

"Hmm ! yea good idea", Ruhi told with a suspicious look in her eyes.

I was mentally cursing those two since they ruined the wonderful time i was having with Riddhima.

Anyways , there are three more days to go.
