•The Light Campgrounds, The Forbidden Forest•

Lavinia sat on the grass, head tilted to the sky to watch Fred and George racing around on their new brooms. The two of them never seemed to set foot on solid ground anymore but over the past week, they had taken to eating breakfast with Ezekiel and her every single morning. Draco, for the most part, had kept his promise. He'd spent three nights with her since he left for Hogwarts and she had listened eagerly as he explained everything to her-- from Slughorn to his new friendships with the Golden Trio and a few others. Noticeably, he had been spending time with Rolf and Neville which was as unlikely a trio as they came.

But Lavinia was glad for as long as he stayed away, she knew he was enjoying himself. If he came back too frequently, she'd know that something was wrong. He came back only to spend time with her and it warmed her heart when he did. She had been keeping herself busy, taking back her job as a leader now that Dumbledore was within the castle itself. Doing so meant that she rotated her time; combat training with the Centaurs, duelling and war scheming with the White Warriors, ally meetings with the Order, socialising with the Dragon Riders. She fell asleep every night feeling successful for the day she'd had.

Though none of it solved her greater issues.

When two people plopped down on either side of her, she startled out of her reverie, glancing between Remus and Sirius who smiled down at her. Lavinia had made so many unlikely friendships that this one should have come as no surprise though it was always slightly odd to closely befriend people of entirely different age.

"How are you today Little Lavi?" Sirius questioned calmly, resting his forearms on his slight upraised knees and Lavinia took a moment to genuinely consider her answer. Every day for the past week had been rather generic, she had fallen into something of a system and as brilliant as it was-- she missed real and true adventure, the thrill of it.

"I am well, thank you. How are the two of you?" she questioned though continued to look at Fred and George-- the two brothers had been dividing their time between the campground and their new store on Diagon Alley which happened to be one of the only businesses still running. Lavinia certainly knew where Molly would rather they be but she'd carefully constructed layers of enhancements around Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, Saints forbid the army lost their two happiest members.

"Good," Remus answered. Lavinia was not a fool, she was smart enough to see that the two of them had rekindled some sort of relationship since Sirius escaped Azkaban and they moved in together. She did not ask them what it was and they did not ask her what was happening between her, Draco and Ezekiel though everybody certainly knew that the three of them spent many nights together. It was a mutually silent agreement and they were all appreciative. Though there were still many things that she wished to discuss with them, Dumbledore had advised her against planting seeds of hope until they had definitive proof that what they wanted to do was possible.

"Do you wish you had the chance to go to Hogwarts? I remember, when we first met at Grimmauld Place-- you were very eager to go?" Remus queried and Lavinia turned her gaze to where Nox was flapping around over the roof of the cottage. Her owl had had very little to do recently but over the summer, the creature had flown back and forth delivering mail to and from Hermione. Their friendship had not been allowed to die in separation.

"A part of me does, wishes to go back and be the person I pretended to be. Just to relive last year, would be incredible. But I am happy now, content in the knowledge that I may never go back again. There is far too much to do here anywhere," she waved off and they both smiled, nudging her from either side.
